As Damon strolled, leaves crunched under his feet, twigs snapping on occasion. The breeze gently blew, through the leaves that attached themselves to the trees. Branches swayed. The inhuman hearing that provided Damon with his vampiric abilities picked up on a sound, a sound made by a human. Or was it? He stopped in his tracks as his piercing blue eyes scanned the area.
