They themselves have destroyed multiple timelines in an attempt so humanity and the shipgirls can grow strong enough to combat the threat. "Antiochus" is Anti-X, with the unknown enemy simply called X. Antiochus (ANTI-X): A title often mentioned by the Ashes.
