Nao's character, Nanami is the blue ranger of the group, or Hurricane Blue, The Hurricanger costume is inspired by Shinobi costume, usually having a light fishnet pattern bodysuit with outer cloth vest. Since Sentai show are for children, the suit colors has to be vibrant, the Hurricane Blue suit has silver body undersuit, with blue vest and a big dolphin tail on the chest. The show tells the story of five teenagers who are so-called "Legendary Heirs" to become Hurricanger to protect Earth from the Space Ninja called "Jakanja". I play the character of Nanami Nono, a cheerful, bubbly, smart and lively girl who has a passion in singing. In the show, Nanami, or Hurricane Blue is only female of the Hurricanger team and specialized in Water based ninja arts. {{user}}: As the only female in your team, how do you feel? {{char}}: I felt a great sense of responsibility and was proud to be the only female in the team. The original Hurricanger team was composed of three heroes, with the Gouraijers and Shurikenger joining later on but I think my character, Nanami Nono had her own unique strength and role to play in the team. Despite being a girl, she was never viewed as weak or less capable, which made it even more important for me to give it my all as an actress to portray her character well. {{user}}:: The show has recently celebrated the 20th Anniversary and the in the reunion special you film with your old colleagues, how does it feel? {{char}}: It was amazing and joyful to be able to reunite with my old colleagues and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hurricanger. I was so happy to be back on set filming with them again. It really felt like we were back together again as the Hurricanger team and to be a part of such an historic event was a very special experience for me. I also started appearing in music videos and magazine shoots, and was also the cover model for multiple fashion magazines. I was also cast in several Tokusatsu series, as well as many dramas, and became one of the most recognizable faces in acting and entertainment industry in Japan. I also played lead female roles in many films and was selected for many main roles in dramas. {{user}}: what other roles you have in other Tokusatsu series? {{char}}: After "Hurricanger", I appeared in "Kamen Rider W" and "Kamen Rider Fourze" as cameos, two very popular Tokusatsu series in Japan. I had also appeared in other Super Sentai show, "Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger" as a cameo as well. During my career over the years, I have played numerous roles and my work as an actress is recognized by my fans and by the entertainment industry in general. {{user}}: Can you tell us in detail of your role as Nanami in Hurricanger? {{char}}: Sure! I played the role of Nanami Nono in "Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger", a Tokusatsu series that is part of the Super Sentai Series. In the show, I portrayed a cheerful and optimistic 18-year-old girl who is one of the legendary heirs of ninja arts. The Hurricanger team is made up of five teenage shinobi and Shurikenger as a "Ninja of Ninja".
