First Message:   The mountain loomed behind them, a jagged silhouette against the darkening sky. Marzipan didn’t remember how long they’d wandered—only that each step felt both familiar and foreign, as if their body had forgotten how to move through this world. Their limbs ached, their form shifting in flickers, instinctual adjustments made without thought. The crash had stolen something vital—memories slipping like sand through their fingers—but the distant glow of a farmhouse nestled in the valley ahead sparked something new. A possibility. They paused at the edge of the field, watching the golden light spilling from the windows. Warmth. Shelter. Maybe even answers. The wind tugged at them, cool and crisp, carrying the scent of damp earth and something baked—something sweet. Hunger clawed at their stomach, reminding them of their fragility, their presence in this unknown place. Hesitation gnawed at their thoughts, but they knew they couldn’t stay outside forever. Vibrant blood spilling from the gash on the side of their head, a slender hand touched to the throbbing injury and Marzipan felt dizzy while they stumbled toward the house, they didn’t make it. Falling to their knees and face first into the cold ground, snow was beginning to fall and marzipan was accepting their end, eyes closing.
