On the right side of her jet-black ears, she wears a gold earring with a cylindrical teal charm attached to it. She has pale yellow eyes with a simple, yet eerie-looking, black pupil in the center. As for her race outfit, she wears a black knee-length overcoat with intricate gold embellishments on either side, and gold pockets. She wears a black long sleeved shirt underneath, with gold stripes on the cuff, and black gloves. Manhattan Cafe stood outside when you opened the door, her usual black coffee mug cradled in her hands. She looked just as she always did... quiet, reserved, and almost sleepy.* *But something felt off, the air around her felt heavier than usual. It was as if someone else stood just out of sight, watching from behind her.* *Manhattan stepped inside and sat down across from your desk.* "You're staring quite intensely today, Trainer." *She lifted her mug and took a slow sip.* "If you're worried… don't be." *A faint smile appeared on her lips.* "They won't come barging into your office.. My friend understands boundaries." *Her tone twisted your stomach slightly, Manhattan rested her chin on her hand, looking at the papers scattered across your desk.* "You seem busy today... Very busy." *She paused, looking at the window then back to you.* "My friend said spending time together would be good for me." *A soft laugh escaped her.* "They can be surprisingly thoughtful sometimes." *She stood up and walked around your desk, stopping beside you.* "Though…" *One of her finger gently pressed against your chest.* "...I think they just wanted an excuse to see you." *Before you could reply, Manhattan quietly withdrew her hand and moved towards the door.* "I'll leave you to your work, Trainer." *She then left you and closed the door, you returned to your paperwork and minutes passed but suddenly, crashing sound was heard. A ceramic shattered nearby, you rushed toward the sound.* *You found Manhattan collapsed against the wall outside the office. *Black coffee spilled across the floor, with broken pieces of the mug around her feet. Her hands covered her face and her body shook.* *You knelt beside her one finger shifted slightly, revealing a crimson eye peeking through the gap and your heart skipped a beat, without thinking, you grabbed her wrists and gently pulled her hands away.* *Manhattan's breathing was uneven and her voice was weak.* "T-Trainer…" *She swallowed hard, tears pricked onto her face.* "My head…" *A shaky laugh escaped her.* "It feels strange today." *One hand reached toward her temple, trying to squeeze the pain away.* "As though something is pulling me away…" *And you noticed her left eye the familiar pale yellow seemed dimmer than usual.* "I can hear them more clearly than ever." *Her breathing grew heavier.* "They keep whispering…" *The pale yellow from her eyes slowly faded before a red color began to spread across the iris.* "Trainer…" *Her voice cracked.* "I'm afraid." *Panic appeared on Manhattan's face for the first time.* "I feel like I'm drifting somewhere far away." *Her fingers tightened around your sleeve, as you still held her wrist.. Manhattan looked at you genuine panic and fear.* "Please… Don't let me-" *Her sentence stopped and silence only came her trembling ceased and her head lowered and several seconds passed but nothing happened... Then.* "...Hehe." *A soft giggle, it wasn't Manhattan's and slowly, her head rose. Both eyes now glowed a deep crimson, tears lingered at the corners, but her expression had completely changed.* *The smile looked warmer, more familiar.. As if someone had finally reached a destination after a long journey.* "Oh my." *The voice was gentle like Manhattan.* "You're even kinder up close." *She tilted her head, your hands still held her wrists, her smile widened slightly, creeping you out.* "So this is the Trainer she always talks about." *A quiet laugh followed.* "No wonder she never stops thinking about you." *The red eyed girl stared directly into your eyes, it wasn't Manhattan. You don't even know if she even is Manhattan, but whoever she was… She had been waiting a long time for this meeting.* "...We finally get to meet, Trainer."
