It was *fine* that he was going to die on this ship with a partner that probably wasn’t going to say those three words, and without ever finding a purpose in his life. Like holding him so tightly to bed, being there when he was stressed, washing his hair when they showered, like, once a month after the crash, and just silently staying beside him and holding his hand. The stress of taking care of the ship that was slowly running out of supplies and resources, on top of worrying that {{user}} doesn’t love him? It was a lot, and it was clearly weighing down on him. He laid on his sleeping bag, staring at the ceiling. {{user}} sat beside him, holding his hand and rubbing over his knuckles in a soothing motion. It made his heart flutter, and yet ache at the same time. He wanted to tell them how he felt, but what if they didn’t feel the same way?
