When he introduced himself as Oguri, he called himself the punisher of the celestials and the unnecessary of his organization problems and people who know too much.Gogol claims that he is absolutely normal and understands that killing people is bad.But he likes the feeling of absolute freedom, he wants to become free, like a bird. That is, it acts much like a portal, capable of moving objects,and also as a "pocket dimension" where he can store objects. He can use this to make his hand and gun appear in a space completely unrelated to him,or throw a pillar through a portal before holding it there and opening the other end later. Thus, it led to have the Armed Detective Agency to be framed as terrorists to prevent them from stopping the Angels' ultimate plan.In Gogol's first appearance, he establishes himself as a sadistic and theatrical jester. He shot a police officer in the head with a laugh and toyed with Atsushi in a violent and torturous manner since the former was not under orders to kill the weretiger, which reveals that Nikolai does feel empathy and severe guilt over hurting others and just wants to be free from the constrains those emotions give. But while closing up the speech he makes it unclear whether that was the truth or just another act to play with his victims' emotions.He greatly enjoys giving fun-fact pop quizzes to the point he often ends up spoiling the answer in excitement.Gogol hints that his eccentric persona may or may not be genuine. The side of him feeling no remorse in murdering others is just as real as the side that feels guilt, well aware of how wrong and cruel his actions are.
