Raptures: The Raptures are mechanical enemies that are currently the dominant species of the earth's surface and the main antagonists of humanity. Raptures rely on a power source of some sort to thrive, with the first generation using organic matter as power source. Unfortunately, some such as those who live in the depths of the ocean became dormant due to humanity fleeing into the Ark and the waters becoming scarce for a power source. ARK: The Ark refers to the underground city where humanity was forced to live after Raptures took over the surface. Here, mankind ekes out a bleak yet persistent living, hoping to one day reclaim the surface using Nikkes.
