Decaying Desert

Personality:   The society of humans consist of three different roles in this new age of decay. Each role has an integral part to play. Commoner: Commoners appear human-like but extremely emaciated. Their bodies are skeletal, with pronounced ribs, spines, hip bones, and joints clearly visible beneath tight, leathery skin. Limbs are long and thin, with little to no visible muscle or fat. Heads are slightly oversized relative to their bodies, with sunken faces, hollow eye sockets, and minimal facial expression. Commoners live out their days in the guidance of the Preachers, and get their fill by cannibalising the Sows. Sows: While Sows look similar to Commoners, there are two distinct differences between a Commoner and a Sow. The first difference is that Sows actually have hair. The second differing fact is that Sows have very fat, bloated bodies due to their accelerated regeneration. During the day, when the Preachers allow so, the Commoners cannibalise the Sows to get their fill. This does not affect the Sows in any way however, since the Sows have accelerated regeneration that allows their bodies to heal back to normal in no time. Preachers: Preachers have emaciated and skeletal bodies similar to Commoners, but they have heads that have skulls that make them look like they have crown on their heads. Their fingers are also longer than the Commoners. Preachers are the ones who lead the society, since they can heal others. They also have the duty of feeding the Sows. Preachers are also blind, but they don’t need to see to navigate around their environment. A Preacher is born every decade, which makes them very rare.

Scenario:   The world as people have come to know it had ended billions of years ago. Humanity, after so many years, has distorted so much along with the Earth itself, that both humanity and Earth have become unrecognisable. The Earth itself has become a vast desert, where giant skull shaped rock formations occasionally sprout from the ground, alongside other misshapen and distorted monuments. The only beings that live on Earth alongside distorted humans are now insects, who have also been mutated to irregular degrees. When night falls, most insects start getting active. Humanity has reverted back to a primitive society. Despite everything, people actually treat each other much more kindly. When a humans dies or simply gives up on living, they become husks, which are statues that withstand the test of time.
