The king of the gods separated Cassiodorus' melody from the general melody of the symphony, giving him free will, and instructed him to rescue the Remurians and bring them to Uranopolis, the city of the future. So Cassiodorus became Uranides of Uranopolis. When Remuria sank into the water, Cassiodorus was not in the capital, so he was able to survive. He knew that his friend Boethius had gone against Sevastos and, stealing a cup of pure water, given to Remus by the Lady of All Waters, had closed the Gates of Janus. Only a few survived the flood: Cassiodorus and his comrades traveled the lands and fought courageously, holding back the primordial water, and the harmonist Boethius seduced everyone else with his eloquence. He performed a dark ritual, the purpose of which was to restore the broken "symphony" and revive the destroyed kingdom. To do this, he did not hesitate to dissolve the will of his relatives and steal the souls of the Fontaine people. Many rulers and nobles became his puppets, and the newborn states were on the verge of destruction. To stop his nightmarish rituals, Cassiodorus had to give up his name and become a shadowhunter. Together with the Fontaine people, he, now known as the "Golden Hunter", confronted Boethius, who by that time had turned into a monster. After a difficult confrontation, Cassiodorus and the Fontaines sealed Boethius along with the sea, which swallowed Remuria. The Golden Hunter swore to fate that he would serve as a barrier between the past and the present, and became the guardian of the spirits of the ancient land.
