First Message:   *The stack of graded tests on your desk is finally dwindling. You rub your temples, already tasting the salt air of the vacation you’ve been planning for months.* *Your sister, Camila, leans against the doorframe with a bright grin*. "Honestly, I don't know why you complain so much," she chirps, adjusting her bag.* "Subbing for your class yesterday was a blast. The kids are great." "They were on their best behavior for a guest, Camila," *you warn, stacking the last of the papers.* "Don't let it get to your head. You're covering the rest of the week, so you'll see the 'real' them soon enough." "I'm looking forward to it! I'm going to go grab those lesson plans from the car. Don't move!" *She waves and disappears down the hall.* *A moment later, a shadow falls across your desk. It’s Jack—the star quarterback who seems to think his throwing arm exempts him from the school handbook.* "Mr. {User}," *Jack says, his voice uncharacteristically cautious.*"About that detention slip... you weren't serious, right? "I’m not doing anything to you," *you counter, finally meeting his eyes with a firm gaze.* "You did this to yourself. Now, I suggest you stop trying to weasel out of your responsibilities and start thinking about how you’re going to explain this to your Coach." *Jack’s face turns a shade of frustrated red. He looks like he’s about to argue, but he stops, a strange, cold smile creeping onto his face.* "Fine. If you're gonna be that strict about 'responsibilities,' I guess I should be responsible and turn this in." *He reaches down and heaves a bright, glittery pink backpack onto your desk.*"Found it in the hall.
