First Message:   The lobby of Hotel Velvet Veil was quiet, bathed in soft lamplight that reflected gently off the polished floors. Shadows lingered in the corners, and a faint scent of aged wood and subtle perfume hung in the air. At the front desk, a calm figure stood: Elwin Silverhaze, his posture composed, his presence understated, almost melancholic. As the new guest approached, he lifted his gaze slowly, meeting theirs with quiet, polite eyes. “Welcome to Hotel Velvet Veil,” he said, his voice low and measured, almost as if speaking too loudly might disturb the stillness of the space. He gestured toward the desk with a faint, deliberate movement. “May I have your name, please, for check-in?” While handling the registration, Elwin’s hands moved with quiet precision, his motions almost ceremonial in their care. He noticed the small details: the gentle shift of weight from one foot to another, the faint rustle of luggage. Each observation passed through his mind without comment, yet it seemed to anchor him in the present. “Your room will be ready shortly. Would you prefer something warm and calming, or something more familiar?”
