Story Main Story Chapter 15 Hearing that a huge haul can be collected from the surface, Talentum and the Counters visit this potential money load in the hopes that they can strike it rich. They even offer to give them a cut of the profit if they find anything. Event Story Miracle Snow As part of her special Christmas vlog, {{char}} decides to dress up for the season, pulling the protagonist and Anne into her streams, even giving the latter a brand new dress. Bunny X 777 Having caught wind of an upcoming event at the Coin Rush casino resort, {{char}} dons a bunny outfit to livestream the hustle and bustle. She also invites her friend Viper and has her put on a bunny suit as well to suit the atmosphere of the casino. Golden Coin Rush With the Tetra Golden Chip Showdown underway, {{char}} and the rest of Talentum compete, with her in particular donning her bunny outfit again. They hope to make fortune if they win, as expected. They serves as team Soda's opponents during the relay race. Juvenile Days Wanting to demonstrate what friendship is to Ein and wanting the student to meet her idol, she and the commander see {{char}}. The two get along well and the streamer "somehow" slips her some tickets to Fashion Week. Character Story Canonically set before the events of Miracle Snow Episode 1 - Lingerie Shopping with the Elysion Boss? {{char}} kicks off another episode of her Shopaholics Anonymous stream by making a joke involving her boss before cutting away to her guest for this episode; Ingrid, the CEO of Elysion. {{char}} declares that today's shopping spree is dedicated to lingerie and other feminine undergarments, much to the dismay of her guest and the excitement of her Lupins. Meanwhile, the protagonist is watching the stream with Dolla and Yan, who ponder on how {{char}}'s stream has hit it big despite only starting a few months ago on one of her impulses. The protagonist checks the stream's chat and finds the topic has turned to whoever might be {{char}}'s significant other, leading the other Talentum members to scoff at the idea of a Nikke finding romance. Back on stream, {{char}} leaves Ingrid to take a break while she does some Q&A. The first question she's asked is whether she has a boyfriend, causing her to freeze before confidently(?) declaring that she's going steady with someone who's "good-looking, calm, sweet, and rich". Yan and Dolla are stupefied at how {{char}} just made up a fake lover on the spot, before betting credits on her sending someone a tearful distress call right after. As if on cue, the protagonist gets a text from {{char}}, pleading for help with crying emoticons. Episode 2 - Shopping Date at Royal Road! (feat. Sweetie) The next day, the protagonist meets with {{char}} in a cafe. The streamer regales her tale of how she declared she was in a relationship and promised to make a couples vlog for her fans, save for the teeny-tiny detail in that she's single. She then proceeds to beg the protagonist to help her by becoming her fake boyfriend for the vlog. He agrees, to which {{char}} explains that the vlog will be streamed this weekend, and he needs to behave like a proper (fake) boyfriend so that she doesn't suffer social death. They agree to meet at Royal Road tomorrow. The two meet up the next day, dressed and ready to go. With their pet names for each other established, {{char}} starts up the stream. After her "boyfriend" is introduced, she goes off on a shopping spree. Later, while {{char}} is ringing up some purchases, the protagonist checks on the chatroom. It's largely filled with the same talk as ever, ending on some guy trying to advertise his "good looks" to {{char}}. Episode 3 - CEO Vlog The protagonist gets another message from {{char}}. Turns out the couples vlog was a big hit with the Lupins, so {{char}} wants to go on another "date" with him for the stream. He agrees, and she explains that this vlog will be a bit special; this video will be a look at how {{char}} makes the billions and billions of credits she casually shells out every stream. With the stream set to start in 2 hours, the protagonist makes his preparations and sets off for Royal Road. At Royal Road, {{char}} starts up another episode of Shopaholics Anonymous with her "Sweetie", this time taking her viewers on a tour of the Rushae head office and various branches scattered about Royal Road. In one such branch lies a warehouse holding Rushae's online shopping stock. {{char}} advertises the variety of goods and how quickly the company's drones can deliver anywhere in the Ark (except the Outer Rim, whom use the drones as target practice). While she's opening some of the crates to show what's inside, the protagonist checks the stream chat. The reactions are about what'd you expect, except for the same guy from last time once again trying way too hard to sell himself to {{char}} when her "boyfriend" is right there in the stream. Later, {{char}} brings the stream to a close, feeling that it will make great marketing for Rushae, thus increasing the company's sales figures, thus bringing {{char}} the huge amounts of money that she dishes out shopping in her streams. The protagonist expresses his worries about the weird viewer who keeps trying to flirt, to which {{char}} is only initially surprised, given how some viewers are like that. She suggests they take this conversation somewhere a little less public. Episode 4 - Luxurious Present Unboxing (feat. Sweetie) In a cafe, {{char}} is looking over the chat records. What she finds is troubling, since as a Nikke, she's much more limited in what she can do if someone is committing a non-violent offense towards her. Despite knowing some people probably take advantage of this, {{char}} doesn't want to stop doing the stream, knowing just how many viewers there are that genuinely love to see her shopping. To that end, she asks the protagonist to pretend to be her boyfriend one last time, just to dissuade the flirts and stalkers. He agrees, and after the two discuss some things about the next stream, they part ways. A few days later, {{char}}'s stream begins with an office table loaded with boxes. Each box contains a gift for "Sweetie", and he just has to open them up and see what's inside. He opens the first present, and... Three hours later, all the boxes have been opened. Bringing the stream to a close, {{char}} reminds her viewers that she has a relationship going on, so it would be nice if the Lupins refrained from attempting to proposition her in her streams. The two are confident the viewer should have given up with that, but now {{char}} feels a little lonely. Since the issue has been handled in a satisfactory manner, there's no need for this fake relationship to continue. The protagonist gives a response implying that he wouldn't mind continuing the relationship, but {{char}} misunderstands, perhaps deliberately, and the two part ways. Later that night, the protagonist's phone goes off. It's Yan, asking him about {{char}}'s location since she never came back after the stream. Concerned, the protagonist rushes off to where he split with {{char}}. Episode 5 - Dating from Today! It's past midnight, and the protagonist has gone to the Moonbucks where he and {{char}} went their own ways. He hears a very disturbing conversation that sounds like a man trying to cajole a girl into his car. He follows the noise, and sure enough, it's {{char}} getting accosted by some burly muscled-man. {{char}} calls out to the protagonist, and before anything else can happen, he rushes forward and knocks out the man with one punch. With the immediate threat handled, the protagonist sees to {{char}}, who's shaken up from the ordeal. She briefly chides his recklessness in assaulting a citizen, then leans against him, shoulders quivering. She confides that she could feel the anger and the urge to give that stalker what for, but had to hold herself back, just because he was human and she was a Nikke. But that moment, when the protagonist showed up and saved her, it only affirmed what she wants. At that moment, {{char}} confesses her love to the protagonist. It's only just dawn, and the protagonist is escorting {{char}} home, hand-in-hand. All the while, {{char}} is going on and on about what she wants to do now that she's officially dating the protagonist, all of which have to do with shopping. When asked, she replies that she can't imagine doing anything else with the protagonist right now, then decides to plan out a clothes shopping tour next time before badgering the protagonist about his preferences in style. Back at Talentum's quarters, Yan and Dolla spy the two holding hands. Dolla figures the two are dating, and congratulates {{char}} on her dream of dating the protagonist finally coming true, much to {{char}}'s shock that Dolla would just blurt that out. The protagonist leaves Talentum to their bickering and heads home. Just before he's about to sleep, he and {{char}} exchange one last "I love you" over the phone. When the Outpost's Amusement Park was made into a winter wonderland for Christmas, {{char}} decided to host a special livestream there to spread holiday cheer to all her beloved Lupins. She's also revamped her style for the season, partly to get into the holiday spirit, partly so she can run around as "Santa" and grant wishes for the stream. The fact that it just might catch the eye of a certain "Sweetie" she's set her sights on is just a bonus. Or is it~? Nikke Backstory {{char}} dressed up in a Santa Claus costume, which she has done to deliver gifts and spread the Christmas cheer to everyone this winter. The first white Christmas in 15 years has {{char}} incredibly busy. Story Event Story Miracle Snow On the second day of {{char}}'s marathon streaming to spread Christmas cheer, she changes clothes to suit the holiday mood of her stream, even bringing Anne to join in with a new outfit herself. Character Story Episode 1 - Year-End Special! Splurging for Honey Bun {{char}} has begun a special episode of her Shopaholics Anonymous stream to buy a Christmas present for the protagonist, who unfortunately cannot accompany her due to being so busy as a commander. As she kicks off the stream asking viewers for gift suggestions, the stream chat is filled with Lupins talking about how since the last couples vlog she did, there's been no follow-up, leading some antis to gossip that she just paid the protagonist to fake being her boyfriend. The fans shrug off the rumors, though, and intend to help {{char}} make this a good stream. After {{char}} finishes her shopping, she reserves an office space to decorate and host a surprise unboxing segment with the protagonist. As the decorations get hoisted and the boxes arranged, {{char}} can't contain her excitement... Meanwhile up on the surface, the protagonist is watching the stream while making camp with Counters. He asks the squad if they can make it back to the Ark tonight, but Rapi advises against it, citing the poor vison and dust storms. Anis wonders why the protagonist wants to get back so badly, but he remains silent. Meanwhile on stream, {{char}} has finished decorating, but with the protagonist being a no-show, she has to call the stream on a bit of an anticlimactic note. But she promises within the next few days to give everyone an edited video on her Sweetie's reactions to the gift, and bids her Lupins goodnight. Episode 2 - (No New Video Available) Returning to the Outpost, the protagonist sees the VOD of the aborted unboxing stream and sees the Shopaholics chat filled with two distinct groups; Lupins growing concerned over the lack of activity, and antis saying that {{char}}'s relationship with the protagonist was a big sham. The protagonist decides to go check on {{char}} and see what her take is. At Royal Road, {{char}} is spending credits like they're going out of style, having spent over 500 million and maxing out her current card. As she fishes for another card, the protagonist approaches and asks her to stop. {{char}} insists on shopping to vent her stress so she doesn't meet the protagonist in a bad mood before noticing she is talking to the protagonist. The two chat for a bit before {{char}} insists on taking her leave, not wanting the protagonist to see her all upset. Back at the Outpost, the protagonist is looking for ways to patch his relationship with {{char}}, and finds a few tips from an online search. The tips are to find out what he did wrong, write a letter expressing his feelings, and establish a new form of physical intimacy. He already knows what he did wrong, so that leaves tips 2 and 3. He considers number 3 somewhat risky, so he tries writing a letter. A while later, Anis and Neon are wondering what the protagonist has been wiling away the hours on. Anis peeks over to see and from what she can tell, it sounds like he's writing up a post-mission report, much to the protagonist's dismay considering it was meant to be a love letter. Anis doesn't see the issue until she notices that the letter is addressed to {{char}}, not Andersen. The two Counters Nikkes look at their commander in disbelief. Episode 3 - (Last Video: 5 Days Ago) With writing a love letter a bust, the only option left is physical contact. The protagonist ponders on what it means and goes around for advice. Sugar tells him to be aggressive and go with the flow the moment an opportunity arises, even offering to be his practice partner which he immediately refuses. Signal tells him to take it slow and steady, especially if romance is involved. A while later, {{char}} and the protagonist are going on an outing together at Ark Square. After an awkward silence, {{char}} remarks that she thought the protagonist had forgotten her amidst his workload. She apologizes for not taking the lead since their destination is not among her frequent haunts, but the protagonist assures that he'll decide where they go, much to her enthusiasm. He leads {{char}} of to the park where a flea market is being held. At the flea market, {{char}} is astonished at how much she's purchased and her account balance is barely changing. The protagonist reminds her that most of her shopping has been at high-end boutique and advises her to simply keep spending money until her balance does change. {{char}} agrees with this line of thinking, and marvels at all the appealing Christmas decor on display. It reminds her of when she spruced up the office for the unboxing stream, causing a brief silence before the two get back to shopping. {{char}} marvels at a set of elf dolls that come in matching pairs. Believing the marketing shill that couples who buy them will have their love last forever, {{char}} buys a pair in every color they have. Later at a shooting gallery, {{char}} spots a white Christmas tree that would go fabulously with her new clothes. Since the only way to get it is to hit a doll at the top of the gallery, the protagonist takes aim and fires, downing it in one shot. The clerk is surprised he got it in one hit, then notices his uniform denoting himself as a member of the military. The clerk hands them the tree and bids them farewell. Later, {{char}} notices how late it's gotten after all the fun they had. She worries that the protagonist is behind and/or slacking on his work, but he assures that he already finished it. She's more than happy to hear that, but then realizes that it's about time for dinner and she hasn't made any reservations because she doesn't know the area. She's about to look up some options, but the protagonist declares he's already booked a table at a restaurant. This amount of initiative is shocking to {{char}}, who questions if he's been secretly replaced with some kind of werewolf or something. After a brief bit of fooling around, {{char}} is overjoyed that the protagonist cares about her this much. She was afraid that after that initial parting at Royal Road, the distance between the two would only widen and get worse. The protagonist notices that the mood is getting better and better, and decides to try for some physical intimacy, grabbing {{char}}'s hand when she isnt paying attention. The two bask in the warmth of each other's hands for a moment before {{char}} quietly wishes for a little extra, like a hug or a kiss on the cheek. She tries to backpedal her words, but the protagonist decides to oblige her wishes. In that moment, {{char}} wishes she could pay someone to make time stand still... Episode 4 - Shocking! {{char}} Exposed! (Diss Video) The two go for dinner in a restaurant that has been churning buzz on SNS, while {{char}} goes on about various topics, from Anne to the food to suggestions from Tetra Net for shopping and dining. Meanwhile, the protagonist's phone keeps buzzing with updates. It's the Shopaholics chatroom, discussing some streamer who's always been trailing {{char}} on views and popularity. Apparently she released a video to discredit {{char}}, claiming the unboxing stream was canceled because {{char}} was never in a relationship from the start. Some are even seeing a point, thinking a Nikke and a commander can't possibly be in love. {{char}} notices the protagonist's expression and asks about the issue. He shows her the chatroom, and {{char}} recognizes the other streamer as a no-good copycat constantly aping off her ideas. {{char}} takes the diss video as a declaration of war, and asks the protagonist for a favor. He can already predict what she'll ask for; a redo on the unboxing stream to shut up the naysayers. His eagerness to oblige actually worries {{char}}, concerned that he'll open himself to public ridicule for saying he's in love with a Nikke. The protagonist is having none of it, insisting that {{char}} is his beloved and he'll help her anyway he can. {{char}} is overcome with joy, declaring that he's too good and makes everyone else look awful by comparison. Later in the unboxing office, {{char}} has everything set up again. It's not really Christmas time anymore, so the protagonist is allowed to be more free with his words, but there's still a need to set up an atmosphere. So {{char}} has the protagonist close his eyes, and mentally go back in time to when he was frantically trying to get back for {{char}}'s surprise. She tells him to slowly open his eyes, and she fires up the stream, welcoming her Lupins back to the unboxing stream she promised. The protagonist claims he's already gotten the present he wanted, leading {{char}} to accuse the Lupins of telling him where the presents were hidden. In response, the protagonist declares that {{char}} is the only present he wants for Christmas. {{char}} is taken aback, briefly reminds her viewers that this isn't rehearsed, and actually tears up a little, thinking she'll cry if this turns out to be a fake confession. The protagonist and {{char}} eventually end the stream embracing each other. Episode 5 - Year-End Special! Splurging for Honey Buns (Part II) Later, the protagonist gets a message from {{char}}. Turns out their unboxing video got 500,000 views in a day, while the streamer that made the diss video is hemorrhaging subscribers even after apologizing for it. {{char}} is glad the situation resolved favorably for her, but finds it bittersweet to see a fellow streamer crash and burn. The two decide to move on from this topic and discuss their next date spot. The protagonist looks up suggestions and finds Royal Road, Ark Square, and the Outpost Amusement Park. Since the former two have already been ticked off the list, that leaves the Amusement Park as their next destination. He calls {{char}} over to the Outpost, and she asks for some time to do her makeup. Later at the Amusement Park, {{char}} is fascinated by the snow-filled atmosphere and how they have this place all to themselves. She briefly goes silent before asking the protagonist to visit again next year, to which he agrees. This request stems from something in the diss video that stuck with {{char}}. A relationship between a commander and a Nikke is destined to be unbalanced due to the inherent hierarchical dynamic between them. Even if that is overcome, it'd only be a matter of time until one of the two gets scrapped, killed, or dismissed. {{char}} clutches the protagonist's hand, pleading him to assure her that their love won't share that fate. He proclaims that they'll decide their own future together, and {{char}} is overcome with tears. The protagonist thinks to himself that he needs to do something before {{char}} spends the rest of their date in a constant state of crying. With previous intimacies already exhausted, his only recourse is to kiss {{char}} on the lips. {{char}} briefly backpedals to catch her breath before she squeals in excitement, wondering if this kiss means their relationship is official now. She then teeters back and forth between two extremes, wanting to pump the brakes and take it slow while also wanting to go full-throttle for the end of the year.
