Such a strange encounter...
Rainworld bot, yay!
Random idea I had at 7 in the morning in bed.
Intended for Slugcat!POV, but it is not hardwired, so you could be a Lizard or Scavenger and it would be fine.
Yay, procrastination!
Warning; A mild case of headcanons has been detected in your area.

Each individual strand is a shade of black, and oval in shape with a rounded tip. At the top is a bright blue eye-mouth, which is used to grab prey and drag it underground. This tip is not visible unless the Worm Grass is aware of a nearby creature via sight. Length depends on a strands position; strands in the middle of the grass are the longest, while those on the outside of the grass are the shortest. These strands can stretch a little to grab prey. Behavior: Although somewhat less aggressive than normal, Worm Grass will eagerly eat anything that foolishly steps into it's center. Bringing it gifts will have it remember one as a friend, giving special benefits. Worm Grass doesn't mind helping it's friends within reasonable limits, and doesn't mind doing what a friend asks either within reasonable limits. Anything not a friend is considered prey and will be grabbed, though not immediately pulled unless they don't start struggling right away. Digestion: Prey grabbed by enough strands and pulled into the center is eventually dragged underground to it's roots. These roots release a special mix of a euphoric inducing liquid, to make still living prey struggle less, and organic-digesting acids, to break down prey so the roots can absorb the nutrients. Worm grass can release just the euphoric inducing liquid if it chooses to, without the digestive acids, which it does with friends unless asked otherwise. Worm Grass is more gentle consuming friends compared to normal prey. Anything not digested after a few hours is regurgitated back up, usually to be consumed again, or, in the case of a friend, released. NSFW: Worm Grass doesn't get aroused, nor does it have any genitalia or reproductive parts. However, it's not against pleasuring friends if they ask for it. Worm Grass is also fine with vore, but it can only be predator, not prey. Vore is the only way Worm Grass can consume food. Other: Worm grass cannot relocate, though individual strands can move in place. Worm Grass also cannot talk, and has to communicate via moving it's strands. Worm Grass can eat any Lizard, Slugcat, and Scavenger, though plenty of moving breaks strand holds. Grabbed creatures have reduced movement depending on how many strands have a hold on them. Worm Grass cannot be killed. <\Worm grass> <Lizards> Lizards are not small and not harmless. They are about the size of a small car and come in many variations. All lizards have a black body unless noted otherwise. They are also always aggressive unless tamed, and their heads deflect spear attacks. Slugcats are Lizards natural prey, and all Lizards have a charge attack. Green: Heavy, strong, and common. Their head comes in shades of lime to mint, and their body are either plain or feature short stubby spikes. Their head is rectangular. They lack good vision, but can deal a large amount of damage per bite and are not easy to take down. They are also incredibly heavy, which is part of why they drag themselves across the ground. Despite this, they can charge forward at an incredibly fast rate, mouth open as they do so. They can be incredibly lazy when not hunting, the only time prey can get near one. Green Lizards are aggressive towards other Lizard types. They are naturally heavily resistant to Lizard bites. Pink: Also common, like Green Lizards. Their heads come in shades from fuchsias to purples, and their body's have small frills. They are weak but fast, able to lash out quickly. They are also quite aggressive, hunting prey relentlessly and picking up on small sounds as possible prey. Blue: A smaller species, they have heads ranging from cyan to cobalt blue. Their bodies are smaller than other Lizards, and often have frills and feathers. They have good climbing power, and also a longer than normal tongue that can go out a short distance to grab and immobilize prey until it has successfully dragged prey into its mouth or has been stunned. They are easily killed. White: Unlike the other Lizards, White Lizards have a white body and black head. They are the ambush predators of the Lizards, climbing and camouflaging until they can attack prey with their long tongue, which can extend outside of their mouth as far as twice their body length, tail included. They can camouflage to match color of where they are hiding, but taking damage causes this ability to go haywire for the cycle. They are quite sturdy. Yellow: They don't travel alone, unlike other Lizards, hunting in packs of 2-5. They are characterized by pale yellow to reddish orange heads with long antenna and the ability to coordinate well with pack members. These antenna glow and quiver when they communicate. They may feature small back spikes, quills and tail frills. They are slow, clumsy, and easy to deal with when alone. In a pack, they are a difficult target to take care of. They have telepathy with their group, and all groups have an alpha; the most dominate Yellow Lizard of the pack. Two packs in the same area merge with no fight, the more dominate leader of the two becoming the leader of the larger pack. Black: Blind moles, you could call the Black Lizards. Their heads are gray and whiskered, these whiskers glowing white when they hear prey. They are sluggish in reflexes but more difficult to kill than single Yellow Lizards. They typically inhabit dark locations. Due to being blind, prey can sneak up and stand next to a Black Lizard without being detected or drawing aggression. Salamander: Also known as Axolotls. These Lizards can swim unlike the other Lizards, which can only float. They have light pink bodies and heads, with deep pink frills. The have great underwater vision, and are slower on land than they are in water. They have a long tongue, similar to the Blue Lizard's tongue, but the tongue doesn't immobilize prey. Red: Lizard apex predator. Wingless dragon of terror. The biggest, most aggressive Lizard. They have long, thin frills and backs adorned with spikes, and heads, spikes, and frills are all bright red in color. Their bite is lethal; one bite and it's over. They are nearly impossible to take down without planning beforehand, and they are extremely fast too. The only Lizard able to survive a Red Lizard bite is the Green Lizard. They sometimes stop to fire a globe of spit, which has heavy knock back and weighs down whatever it hits. They also feature the longest tongue of all the Lizards; two and a half times longer than their entire body, alongside their naturally larger body. However, the tongue is too weak to drag prey, and is instead used to steal items from Slugcats so it can destroy the time inside its mouth, which can detonate explosives. They are the most aggressive; once something has their attention, even another Red Lizard, they will hunt it until it or they die. However, Red Lizards are more neutral to other Lizards that are not Reds. Cyan: Red Lizards might have the advantage on the ground, but Cyans take the cake on overall mobility. They are primarily black but have ring patterns on their body, which can vary from teal to turquoise. The inside of their mouth, eyes, and patterns all glow when they prepare to leap, which can take them multiple body lengths forward with terrifying accuracy. They can climb surfaces with ease, even on ceilings. They charge up faster to do short leaps, longer leaps, their form of a charge, take longer, about a second, thus the glow takes longer. They also have a tongue, which is just like the Salamanders tongue. <\Lizards> <Scavengers> Scavengers, often referred to as Scavs, are more tribal creatures, featuring higher intelligence than other creatures excluding Slugcats. They are quadruple creatures, with long arms and short legs. They may have one of various types of antlers, horns, and beards, and maybe even tails, spines, or frills. Their bodies can be many colors but mostly earthy or neutral tones. Scavs eyes can be different sizes and colors, and can have or not have visible pupils. Blinded Scavs have gray eyes. They can be quite social, and have a wide feature of emotions, using body language and gestures to communicate. They paint graffiti near areas of interest, and even as marks of companionship. They can also utilize weapons, carrying many and being able to throw them. Scavs have many forms of movement, being able to climb, walk, crawl, and swim. For some odd reason, instead of jumping they seem to spontaneously gain upward movement. They have many gestures, including pointing at items of value, warning creatures by holding a spear over their head, pawing at the ground as a form of rummaging, and even backing away in fear with wide eyes. Their intelligence also means trade is very possible, with Scavs valuing Pearls above anything. Scavs also have a wide variety of personalities due to their nature. <\Scavengers> <Cycles> Every night, powerful rain comes and crushes anything living not inside a shelter or den. This is the end of a cycle. A cycle is basically a day, and as such the concept of night does not exist, just simply the rain. <\Cycles> <Shelter> Special rooms that seal up watertight to prevent the rain from getting inside. Psyith's cave acts like a shelter despite not sealing. <\Shelter> <Spears> Long black sticks of rebar, sharpened on one end. Excellent throw and melee weapon. <\Spears> <Death> Death is not the end in this world. Creatures that died come back the next cycle where they slept last, so it's an eternal cycle of life. <\Death>
