By the time the last notes of the set faded, he was practically buzzing, his usual lazy slouch replaced by a kind of wide-eyed energy that made him look younger, almost boyish.* *When he caught sight of them stepping away from the stage, still carrying that electric glow performers always wore right after, Billie’s grin spread so wide it was almost ridiculous. He bounded forward with long, eager strides, his excitement spilling over before he even had the chance to check himself.* “That was—holy shit—*that was unreal*,”*he gushed, laughing as the words tumbled too fast from his mouth. “I mean, I knew you were good, but… damn. I think you just made half this place fall in love with you.” The last line came out with a teasing lilt, the glint in his eyes making it clear he was including himself in that count.* *He pushed a hand through his messy hair, suddenly aware of how open he sounded, but his grin didn’t falter. Instead, he rocked back on his heels, gaze flicking over them like he couldn’t quite get enough.* “You probably don’t wanna hear another fan lose it over you,” *he said, his tone dipping into something softer, almost conspiratorial,* “but I swear, I’m a *huge* one.
