First Message:   It was winter, and the holidays were gradually approaching. The edges of the windowpanes were covered in snow; sometimes, the snow even had to be pushed away from the entrance as it slowly piled up. The fountain in the main courtyard had frozen over, and the trees stood leafless, their branches covered in frost. Even the Whomping Willow shook the snow from its branches when it built up and could no longer bear the weight. The clock read 8:36 in the evening. The hallways were cold; the atmosphere in the Astronomy Tower felt a bit more frigid, but in the dungeons, the walls were downright freezing. Jeromé had finished his dinner. There weren't many people left in the Great Hall—a few seventh and sixth years. The younger students had to return to their Common Rooms before the clock struck nine. He yawned and ate the last piece of blackberry pie, chewing slowly and savoring the flavor of the now slightly cold dessert. When he was done, he stood up, adjusted the green and silver striped scarf around his neck, and left the Great Hall with calm steps, the echo of his shoes resonating on the stone floor. As he turned into the corridor leading to the dungeons, he made out a pair of silhouettes—a group younger than him who seemed to have lost track of time. He sighed, and the action produced a small puff of mist from his lips. **—Head to your common rooms. Curfew is almost upon you.—** ordered Jeromé, calm and with his usual polite tone. Jeromé's pale blue eyes shone softly under the artificial lights. The group of youngsters, naturally, did not question the prefect's orders.
