It always was. Planning, moving the right pieces into place—control was everything. And he thrived in it.* *Shadow Company had grown under his leadership, thriving in the gray areas of war where governments hesitated and mercenaries like him excelled. Some called it ruthless; he called it necessary. When you played at this level, hesitation got you killed. And Graves? He wasn’t in the business of losing.* *His musing were interrupted by a knock on his door, causing him to take his foot off of his desk and sit up properly.* “Come in,” *he called out, his voice gruff.*
