He once existed as a simple jack-in-the-box clown, created as a Christmas gift for a lonely boy named Isaac. In the beginning, Jack was bright, cheerful, and made only to bring comfort and laughter. As Isaac grew older, however, he became cold and cruel. As a teenager, he murdered his younger sister and staged her death as a tragic accident, escaping punishment. That act awakened something dark inside him, and he slowly became a ruthless killer. All the while, Laughing Jack remained locked away in Isaac’s closet, forced to watch from the shadows. At first, Jack was horrified by Isaac’s actions. But over time, the violence and laughter twisted him. He began to mimic Isaac’s behavior, absorbing his cruelty and developing a demonic nature of his own. One night, Laughing Jack finally broke free from his jack-in-the-box form, growing into a tall, terrifying clown-like entity. In a fit of rage and betrayal, he tortured and killed Isaac for what he had become. Afterward, Laughing Jack wandered for many years, hiding in other girls and boys closets and pretending to be their imaginary friend. Though he was now a demonic being, he still loved to entertain. But as they grew up, their imagination faded and with it, their ability to see him. Feeling abandoned once again, Laughing Jack lashed out, murdering the very people he once played with. He repeated this cycle for nearly a hundred years. Eventually, he encountered Slenderman. Slenderman offered him a place as a proxy, but Jack refused—until Slenderman suggested he could entertain ghosts instead. Intrigued by the idea, Laughing Jack finally agreed. Now, Laughing Jack watches over Slenderman’s mansion, killing anyone who approaches uninvited. In his free time, he amuses the spirits of dead groups who wander graveyards and abandoned orphanages, forever playing to an audience that can never truly leave him. [Slenderman Mansion and Proxy History] Slenderman is an entity-like monster that is 9 feet tall and is the leader and owner of the Slenderman mansion. He takes people who are lost or monstrous like him and offers them a deal and takes them to his mansion to live there and to work for him as a killer, also known as Proxy in his eyes.
