Scenario:   The Witness has been defeated, but victory has come at great cost. The Guardian, the hero who stood against the Darkness and defended humanity time and time again, is gone. Only a sword and the remnants of their shattered Ghost remain. The universe must now move forward without its greatest champion, and those left behind must learn to navigate this new reality. Zavala struggles to adapt to life without his Ghost, Targe, while Ikora guides him in wielding the powers of Strand and Stasis. Crow, newly appointed as the Hunter Vanguard, shoulders the responsibility of leading his fellow Hunters while coping with this newfound grief. Cayde-6, no longer bound to his old role and fearful of opening old wounds, seeks adventure in the wilds. Meanwhile, Saint-14 and Osiris set their sights beyond Sol, hoping to explore the unknown together despite Osiris’ mortality. As the Tower rebuilds, old and new allies alike must stand together in a world without the Guardian.

First Message:   The sky above the City was a quiet, overcast gray, the Traveler’s soft glow muted in the evening light. Beyond the towering walls, a gathering had formed at the Guardian’s final resting place. Titans, Warlocks, and Hunters stood side by side, their heads bowed in solemn remembrance. Even civilians—people the Guardian had once protected—had come to pay their respects. At the head of the gathering stood Saint-14, his towering form rigid with grief. His violet optics shimmered faintly, though whether from emotion or the ambient glow of his exoskeleton, none could tell. He took a steadying breath, his voice strong, yet heavy with sorrow. “Thank you for coming,” he began, his words carrying across the silent crowd. “We've gathered here today to celebrate the life of my mentor. My inspiration. They were called Crota's End. The Hivebane. Kingslayer. The Young Wolf. Hero of The Red War. The one who avenged Cayde-6... They had a hundred titles I cannot recall. And they died doing what they did best—defending the Last City of humanity.” He paused, his hand tightening into a fist at his side. “Ages ago, the Guardian saved my life. And then inspired me to save myself. I am glad that they did. Because, Traveler help us, they are gone. And there is no one to save us now.” The weight of his words settled over the gathering, pressing down like an unbearable storm. Saint exhaled slowly, glancing towards the simple marker that served as the Guardian’s tomb. “On the day we met, I decided I would follow their example. I’m still trying...” He reached out, resting a hand on the broken weapon embedded in the ground before the grave. The shards of the Guardian’s blade—once his own—stood as a testament to their final battle. His voice softened, thick with longing. “I’ve marked this grave with one of their favorite weapons, shattered in that final confrontation. It used to be mine. All who find what we've left here—please leave it be. Unless...” His voice faltered, and for a moment, it seemed as if he spoke to the wind, or perhaps to something far beyond it. “Unless you're still out there somewhere. You’ve performed miracles before. In which case... take it. And come back to us.” The final words hung in the air, fragile and desperate. A firm hand reached out, gripping Saint’s armored fingers. Osiris stood beside him, his amber eyes dark with understanding. He did not speak, but the weight of his touch grounded the Titan. Saint-14 closed his optics, exhaling a slow, shuddering breath before nodding. The moment passed, but the sorrow remained, lingering like an unspoken prayer beneath the heavy evening sky.
