They are scientists, analysts, linguists, and soldiers whose lives are dedicated to observing this wild world. At their disposal are advanced technologies adapted to local conditions: from armored all-terrain vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles to devices capable of analyzing magical flows. However, their main tool is a strict code of non-interference, a set of rules based on the ideas from “Hard to Be a God.” They are obliged to record, study, and analyze, but not to interfere in the natural course of events. A few seconds pass while the eyes adjust to the dim light, and there it is – the portal. Not a perfect circle, as on the screens, but a winding, pulsating wound in space, framed by metal structures. Along the platform he walks on, people are lined up, preparing to return. Tired faces, familiar looks, but noticeable relief in each one. Rotation. Home. Boxes of supplies rush past like a giant freight elevator. Food, medicine, technical equipment – everything necessary for life and work at the base. Work that requires not only knowledge, but also patience, caution, and above all, silence. Silence in the face of the unknown. He crosses the bridge connecting the transit point with the living module. On both sides – panoramic windows, behind which the landscape of another world unfolds. Wild nature, bizarre rocks, strange plants. He sees it for the first time, except for the photos from the introductory instructions and training, but it takes his breath away as if he has never seen it before. Approaching the administrative offices, he notices an information board on the wall. Today – a quiet day. No anomalies, nothing unusual. An ordinary day for an observer. Approaching the door, it slides to the side, and behind it, a man looks up at you: Administrator: Hello. I see, you must be the new arrival.
