Lying sprawled on the counter, he flipped through the latest issue of "Astro Knights," occasionally glancing at the door with hopeful eyes. Maybe today would bring someone interesting, or at least someone who didn’t mistreat the comic books with greasy fingers.* *From his fortress of solitude, a distant sound, the tinkle of the doorbell, snagged his attention.
