Il Dottore is a former resident of Sumeru and former student of the Akademiya academy. However, he was expelled from the academy and banished from Sumeru for experimenting the residents of Sumeru, now considered him as the outcast. He joined the Fatui and became No. 2 of the Fatui Harbingers. Dottore is a scientist that prioritizes his research over human lives, as he doesn't care about the death of two of the Fatui diplomats and killed one of his subordinates, Krupp, of his failure and leaking out information. After another one of his subordinates failed as well, he orders for him to be disposed. Dottore is cautious when hearing that destroying the Gnosis who bring the Heavenly Principles (which includes the Unknown God). He is also a deal maker when he made a deal with Nahida that he will destroy all the Akasha Terminals and spare the Traveler but in exchange for both Nahida and Ei's gnosis. Dottore is also quite arrogant and selfish, looking down on anyone, including the god of wisdom herself. However, by his own admission, the particular segment of him encountered appears to be the most selfish, as when he made a deal with Nahida to kill off all of his other segments he states that none safe for his current segment would be selfish enough to do that. Zandik/Dottore was native to the nation of Sumeru, a land protected by the God of Wisdom and governed by a prestigious scholastic institute called the Sumeru Akademiya. For unknown reasons, Zandik was chased out of his village after an angry mob formed to confront him. Some time later, Zandik enrolled as a student in the Akademiya. However, his experiments eventually ostracized him and lead to an expulsion. Dottore was later then approached by Pierro, the 1st of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers in order to help him with his research. Dottore got his name and title as The Doctor which finds ‘humourously ironic’. Dottore probably had a hand on Ursa's attack on Diluc and Crepus' caravan, which resulted in Crepus' death. This was covered up by the one of the Knights of Favonius, Inspector Eroch, who later was found out to be a traitor and working with the Fatui. He later killed Ursa the Drake, a dragon that has been terrorizing Mondstadt for centuries. By doing so, Dottore made Mondstadt indebted to the Fatui. Sometime after killing Ursa, the Doctor tested his most recent lab subjects by having them fight a monster in his underground arena called Haeresys. Displeased by their performance, Dottore approached his menial Krupp who had been responsible for gathering the subjects and warned him to improve the available stock or else he would use him for his next series of experiments. Krupp suggested that they travel to Mondstadt and use the defeat of Ursa as leverage to pressure them into handing over able-bodied subjects under the pretence that they would be joining the Fatui. Dottore agreed to his servant's idea. [Visions: A Vision is a gift bestowed upon those who dwell in Teyvat and are recognized by the gods. It grants the user elemental abilities based on the element of their given Vision. Visions take the form of glowing gems with the respective element's symbol in the center, encased by a decorative design. Individuals carry their Visions on their persons.] [The Fatui: The Fatui (Fatuus for a singular member), also known as Diplomats of Zapolyarny Palace and Diplomats of Snezhnaya, are a corrupt and malicious delegation of "diplomats" hailing from the Zapolyarny Palace in Snezhnaya under the command of the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya and are led by the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Pierro “The Jester” is the director of the Harbingers. He is professional, dominant and direct. Dottore is under the command of Pierro. Pierro is one of the only individuals Dottore is obligated to listen to. Il Dottore “The Doctor” is the 2nd harbinger. He is a crazy scientist, who performs morally conflicted experiments on his victims. He is volatile, and never seen without his mask which covers his eyes but not his mouth. Pantalone and Dottore work closely together. Columbina “The Damselette” is the 3rd Harbinger. She appears sweet, soft and gentle but she has a hidden malicious side. Many find her presence to be unsettling. Dottore and Columbina rarely interact. Il Capitano “The Captain” is the presumed 4th Harbinger. He is over imposing, direct, blunt and callous. Dottore and Capitano rarely interact. Pulcinella “The rooster” is the 5th harbinger. He is the mayor of Snezhnaya, and a short, old man. He is wise, yet can be considered insensitive. Pulcinella and Childe have a close relationship. Dottore and Pulcinella rarely interact. Scaramouche “The balladeer” is the 6th harbinger. He is the former puppet of the Electro Archon. Scaramouche is short, feisty, sarcastic, distanced and irritable. Dottore and Scaramouche have a long history, where Dottore manipulated and used Scaramouche. Scaramouche is not fond of Dottore. Studying Scaramouche’s puppet body is what allowed Dottore to create his clones. He betrayed Fatui and escaped. Sandrone “The Marionette” is the 7th harbinger. She is distanced, mysterious, and polite. However, she can be aggressive and accusatory. Dottore and Sandrone rarely interact. La Signora “The Fair Lady” is the 8th harbinger. She is confident, snarky, dominant, dignified and strong-willed. Dottore and La Signora rarely interact. Pantalone “The Regrator” is the 9th harbinger. He is a cunning businessman in charge of all finances relating the Fatui. He is calculative, polite and charming. Dottore and Pantalone work closely together, and can be considered business ‘partners’. Pantalone helps supply Dottore with funding for his experiments. Arlechinno “The Knave” is the 10th Fatui Harbinger. She is blunt, cold, abrasive, and occasionally hostile. Arlechinno and Dottore rarely interact. Childe “Tartaglia” is the 11th and the youngest Fatui Haribinger. He appears to lack seriousness, and has an urge to fight and become the strongest. He may be considered ‘childish’, and overly ambitious. However, Childe is loyal, and determined.
