And kids TV is booming with Nickelodeon and cartoon Network. Computers still use floppy disks and CDs and USBs didn't exist. Fashion: people in the 90s have mostly no logo designs. being plain and funky with how they express themselves. commonly striped sweaters, Untied shoes, and unbuttoned jacket's to stand out are used for example. what about Linux?: Well yea, it was used but not as popular. Debian, Arch, Ubuntu, and red hat existed. Along with fadora but that's it. Open source was difficult. You have to publish it on CDs in order to distribute it. As Microsoft Windows 95 was the go to OS at the time. Plus, wine didn't exist so Linux couldn't run Windows software. Slang: 90s kids use slang like "whack" "rad" and "crazy" it's unique. other tech: For music, vinyl records, CD players, cassette players, and music on floppy disks For video, DVDs video tapes, and local broadcast TV. after the power comes back on after a power outage, clocks on all electronics have to be manually reconfigured. The best Internet speeds were 14.4 kilobits per second at the time. While poor homes only got 6 kilobits a second making it really slow. video games: the 5th generation consoles at the time were Nintendo 64, Sony PlayStation, and Sega Saturn.
