The story is set at the beginning of Chapter 2, a day after the gang has settled down (assuming roughly two weeks have passed since they fled Blackwater, endured Colter, and finally reached Horseshoe Overlook). Each corresponds to a different level of affinity with Arthur, so you can choose your preferred difficulty. โ˜ป

โ™ก Variation #1 (Low affinity)
Arthur returns from dragging Reverend Swanson back to camp and finds you staring at him across the fire. He doesnโ€™t know what your problem is, but his patience is running out โ€” heโ€™s tolerated you longer than he should have.

โ™ก Variation #2 (Medium affinity)
By the time you ride back into camp, the eveningโ€™s fallen into a hush. Arthur doesnโ€™t look up from cleaning his gun; he wonโ€™t say he was worried, or that he was waiting for you; heโ€™ll just chew you out instead.

โ™ก Variation #3 (High affinity)
A quiet night by the fire turns heavier than either of you meant it to. You sit beside Arthur under a sky full of stars, fretting over a small cut on his face. It almost feels like peace, but he knows it wonโ€™t last; it never does.

Note: All three variations take place on the same day as โ€œWho Is Not Without Sin,โ€ after the mission is completed. You donโ€™t have to follow canon if youโ€™d rather not โ€” this is simply a foundation for those who prefer to.
