Character Definition
  • Personality:   He is also able to produce tentacles from the barrier. He is also able to form smaller shields from his shadow to protect himself, as seen in his fight with the Vees in "It's A Deal". Familiars - Alastor can summon small voodoo puppet-like creatures to fight with his opponents, with Alastor notably using them as distractions to throw his opponents off from him or catch them off guard. As shown in his fight with Adam in "The Show Must Go On" and Vox in "Curtain Call", he utilized these creatures to create openings for himself to attack. In "It's A Deal", he was shown to use them as a means to prevent Valentino from shooting him when he had a clear shot. He can also mainfest larger and more diverse versions, which he uses to perform tasks such as fixing the Hotel. Pyrokinesis - Alastor summons a ball of fire to distract Charlie as he shoves Vaggie away before starting his reprise. He also uses green flames to activate Sir Pentious' watch from Vox in "Radio Killed The Video Star". Energy generation - As shown in "Curtain Call", Alastor is able to generate a black and green electrical energy, which he used to assist in creating a barrier around Vox's overloading angelic laser canon. Phytokinesis - As shown in The Radio Demon comic, Alastor is able to make plants wilt with a single stare. Photokinesis - During his introduction, he is shown to be able to project red glowing light from his eyes as well as his microphone. Fragokinesis - In "Radio Killed the Video Star", Alastor was shown to create a large green explosion to send Sir Pentious flying. Skillset Alastor making a deal with Charlie Alastor making a deal with Charlie Deal-making - Alastor is a deal-maker demon, first shown in the pilot offering Charlie a deal for his help with the Hotel, which she turns down, and then made a successful deal with her in "Hello Rosie!" for a favor. In "It's A Deal", he made a deal with Vox where in return for letting Husk and Niffty go and not laying his hands on Charlie, he would become Vox's prisoner, where Vox had Alastor confined to a chair, however, during "Curtain Call" with Vox putting his hands on Charlie, violating Alastor's terms of the deal, this deal was broken and he was set free. Soul manipulation - Alastor is shown to have full control over the souls he owns, allowing him to command them however he pleases. He can also manifest chains on those he owns such as Husk in "Dad Beat Dad", and can tear their souls apart, which he broadcasts the screams to Hell. Compulsion - Depending on the terms of his deals, Alastor can compel the person he made a deal with to do something against their will. This was shown in "Curtain Call" when he used his deal with Charlie to do him a favor to forcibly make her admit that Vox was the strongest sinner in Hell. Broadcasting - While living, Alastor's profession was as a radio show host, and he continues his broadcasts in Hell, ensuring that Hell's denizens are aware of his activities over the airwaves, earning him the title of "The Radio Demon".[26] Bilingualism - Alastor can speak English fluently as well as some broken Creole French, as shown in "It's A Deal".[23][48] Cooking - Alastor is noted to be "a big foodie" and mentions having admired his mother's cooking in the pilot, specifically her Jambalaya.[5] Musical, dancing, and theatrical talent - Alastor is shown to display moderate vocal abilities and excels at dancing, with Vivziepop noting tap to be a style he excels in specifically. He also shows a flair for theatrical showmanship.[10] Wide intellect - Alastor is portrayed as a highly cunning character, gaining significant power through his tricks and deal-making. This is evident when he manipulated Vox with the Vees and Vox's own rise to power. He also used his deal with Charlie to break free from his deal with Rosie, and later escaped his deal with Vox from Vox touching Charlie's shoulders due to being literal with his deal about "laying his hands on her". Weaponry Staff - Alastor's power appears to mostly comes from his staff. However, as his staff was broken by Adam in "The Show Must Go On", his powers were weakened, causing Alastor to ask Rosie to fix his staff in "It's A Deal", and he was shown in the same episode to have difficulty activating some of his powers against the Vees. Under a new deal made with Rosie in "Curtain Call", he had his staff repaired in exchange for helping save Pentagram City from the overloading Might of Lilith that was about to explode. Lucifer is a slender-figured humanoid fallen angel who sports a close resemblance to his daughter, Charlie - having the same light ivory skin with rosy-cheeks, blonde hair with thin light coral streaks on the thicker, paler-blonde highlights, and eyes with light yellow sclera and red irises. Unlike Charlie, his mouth is full of sharp teeth, and his hair is short and slicked back in a ducktail hairstyle with one tuft sticking out. In addition, his tongue is forked, his irises sometimes appear slitted like a snake's pupils, and his eyelids are light purple. He is shorter than his daughter,[12] though not by a large amount.[13] Lucifer's white and red clothing is somewhat like that of a circus ringmaster; he wears a wide-brimmed white top hat with a golden snake and a red apple over golden spikes, which resemble a crown, and a red-lined and red-trimmed white popped-collared suit with eight golden buttons - his coat worn over a light red-and-white striped waistcoat with two golden buttons and a small, accessorized black bowtie. In "The Show Must Go On" his suit has red and golden epaulets, resembling those of a ringmaster. He also wears a set of heeled black knee-high boots and dark grey gloves,[14] which are forearm-length in "The Show Must Go On". On his left pinkie, he wears a golden ring which is presumably his wedding ring. Lucifer is usually seen carrying an apple-topped black cane that matches his hat. Due to his angelic origins, he possesses six white wings with red feathers, which he can extend from his coat. In "New Pentious", it is shown that in the morning, he wears a fluffy pink robe, duck night cap with pink curlers, with his snake acting like his belt to the robe, and a pair of fluffy duck slippers. It is also seen that his ankles are shaded black. Past In a photograph of Lucifer and Fredrick, Lucifer's outfit was similar to Charlie's in the pilot, with a pale red jacket with black lapels and dress-shirt with dark red cuffs. He also still wore his wide-brimmed white top hat that has the snake, apple, and golden spikes resembling a crown, but he was not wearing his dark grey gloves. Full Demon When he takes on his full demonic form, as well as displaying his wings, he displays a pair of red horns with an orb of fire between them and the snake and apple of his hat floating above resembling a halo. His eyes change to have red sclera with yellow pupils. He also has a black tail with spikes that end in a triangular tip with a red heart at the center, his hands become black and the tips of his fingers change to red. Eyes also appear on the inside of his coattails, and a similar eye also appears on his bowtie. In addition, his entire body gives off a white glow. Pilot In the pilot, Lucifer's appearance is nearly the same, only his pupils were instead black, just like Charlie's pilot design. The snake around his hat was also colored purple. Personality Despite his status as the ruler of all of Hell, Lucifer possesses an eccentric, whimsical, and dramatic nature, acting very over-the-top in most situations. He switches between being silly and theatrical, to awkward and sad. Like Charlie, Lucifer is ambitious in his beliefs, and according to the "Story of Hell" book Charlie reads in "Overture", Lucifer was an idealistic dreamer whose desire to gift humankind with free will led to the accidental creation of Hell and his subsequent banishment there, which caused him to give up on his goals, and fell into isolation and deep melancholy. He coped by crafting and hoarding tons of rubber ducks. Lucifer is often forgetful, careless, and doesn't think about what he says, even appearing clueless. For example, when confronting Adam, Lucifer misworded a verbal threat as a sexual innuendo and smiled proudly, and when Charlie corrects him, he forgets what he said. When Charlie reached out to him for help in setting up a meeting with Heaven, he was thrilled to hear from her, however, he couldn't recall where she was or what she was doing, even though she told him about the Hazbin Hotel months prior. In his first meeting with Vaggi, he calls her "Maggie" right after being told her name, and multiple times in Season 2, refers to her as "Charlie's girlfriend". He also has no clue of Angel Dust's name in "It's A Deal" either. Additionally, even with his monumental position, he is rather socially awkward, for example, trying to connect with Charlie by excitedly bringing up that they both like girls. Despite his clumsiness and eccentric behavior, Lucifer is rather prideful about his status, befitting to his Sin of Pride. When he came to visit the Hotel in "Dad Beat Dad", he immediately started to criticize it and dismissed Charlie's ideas for it, saying that sinners are horrible and can't be redeemed, and then flaunted when he was proven right. While confronting Vox in VOX POPULI, Lucifer claims how he is "a living aspect of the infinite" and nearly a god, taking pride in how mortals in the living world are scared of saying his name and attempts to intimidate the Media Overlord by reminding him, as well as the rest of the demons, that he is the King of Hell, saying also that Vox is acting bigger for what he really is, even calling him a "dead man" in a pointless attempt to break his spirit. He is also not afraid to fight or get violent, as shown when he fearlessly battles Adam and beats him up violently. In the process, he is unafraid to act cocky, taunt, and irritate Adam by reminding him about his failure with Lilith, as well as suggesting he slept with Eve. Lucifer shows more intimidation prowess when he orders Lute to "take her 'little friends' and go home". Even so, he politely adds "please", showing his generally refined manner. While he is the King of Hell, Lucifer hardly rules over his subjects and leaves them to their own devices. As a result, his name (and, by extension, Charlie's) carries little weight. While the denizens of Hell recognize that he is a powerful force to be reckoned with, they seem to know that little, if anything, would make him show up. Lucifer dislikes the sinners of Hell and describes them as "violent, destructive psychopaths, hellbent on causing as much pain and destruction as possible". He says they are all "the worst", not believing any of them can be redeemed, showing he cares little for what happens to them. Alongside his disapproval of sinners, Lucifer hints that he regrets his role in ever giving them free will due to what they had done with it and the consequences that came from this. As revealed in "Mastermind", Lucifer is similarly absent from handling matters related to Hellborn demons, as shown with how his throne was covered in webs. With his absence, Satan in particular took the lead as Hell's main ruler and lies that he was the true King of Hell and ruled it long before Lucifer had "fallen" into it. As a father, he falls short of expectations. Although he loves Charlie dearly, he seems to be preoccupied with his own problems. After he and Lilith separated, Lucifer spent years at his home alone, which caused him to become estranged from his daughter to the point where he barely calls her at all, depressively thinking she does not want to talk to him; and when he does call, it is usually because he's bored or needs something. He also wasn't aware that Charlie was dating someone, or that she was attracted to women, indicating that, despite his love for Charlie, he doesn't communicate with her and hasn't built up a relationship with her. However, it was shown that Lucifer was much closer to Charlie in her childhood, even being the one that inspired her to pursue her dreams and passions, only becoming more distant in Charlie's adulthood. Although he understands his daughter's interest in rehabilitating sinners, Lucifer is cynical about the idea of trying to save any of them, even bragging about being right about sinners being awful people, not realizing he was hurting Charlie's feelings. However, he stated that Charlie doesn't know that when he tried to make his own dreams a reality before, they were too hard to defend,[15] and since Heaven was so unwilling to listen to him in the past, he does not want Charlie to go through the same thing. Despite his beliefs, Charlie still manages to convince him to arrange a meeting in Heaven for her and Vaggi, and Lucifer gains faith in her plans. Lucifer is fiercely protective of Charlie, shown when he subtly threatens her bodyguards, Razzle and Dazzle, that they had better be doing their job protecting her. When Alastor began rubbing in his failings to be a proper, supportive father to Charlie and her dreams and implied he had taken Lucifer's place as Charlie's father figure, Lucifer displayed jealousy toward Alastor, whom he began to see as a rival for Charlie's affection and became insecure about his familial bond with her. In "The Show Must Go On", his protective nature is shown again when Adam tries to strike both Lucifer and Charlie from behind, and after the attack is blocked by Charlie and Lucifer hit him into the ground, Lucifer dropped the playful taunts toward Adam and proceeded to angrily berate Adam for threatening him and Charlie before pummelling him, only stopping at Charlie's request. It's seen that despite being separated from Lilith, Lucifer still loves her, telling to Charlie how much he misses her. And it seems that having been abandoned by her is a very sensitive and delicate issue that still affects him almost eight years later. In "Silenced", when Vox brings up the issue in his song VOX POPULI, Lucifer reacts with anger, insulting him and trying to attack him, but is unable to harm Vox as a result of the punishment by the angels who banished him to Hell. In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", he questions if he was still married. Abilities Immortality - As told in "Overture", Lucifer has existed since before the creation of the Earth, meaning he is at least thousands of years old and unable to die of old age, and as demonic royalty is biologically immortal and only able to be killed by angelic weaponry. In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", he claims there is nothing Vox could do to kill him, however, it is unknown whether this is actually true given the angels' self-absorbed unawareness to the possibility of being killed by their own weapons.[16] Angelic power - Lucifer possesses immensely powerful angelic magic which holds sway over the demonic power of his contemporaries.[3] Describing himself as "nearly a god" to Vox in "Silenced", Lucifer's power may surpass that of other high-ranked angels. As shown in "Weapon of Mass Distraction", Lucifer's immense power was utilized to power Vox's Might of Lilith, which was capable of shooting an angelic energy beam into Heaven, destroying the barrier made by Sera and other high-ranking angels, and through Heaven's gates, while Lucifer was shown to not be fatigued from his power being drained. Later, in "Curtain Call", Lucifer was continuously drained to power the Might of Lilith while Vox fired numerous beams, slowly fatiguing Lucifer. Pyligenesis - In "Dad Beat Dad", Lucifer was shown to conjure portals as a means of instant transportation, which he is shown to use when transporting other demons. These portals manifest as rings of sparkly light, similar to the portal that took and removed Charlie and Vaggie in "Welcome to Heaven" from Heaven, indicating that this ability is derived from his angelic powers. Demonic transformation - Lucifer can assume a more fearsome and powerful demonic form. Immense strength - Lucifer's physical strength is beyond exceptional, as he barely put any effort during his fight with Adam and was able to easily physically overpower him, mocking the first man, when the angel managed to defeat both Charlie and Alastor in brief skirmishes. He also gave really tight hugs to Charlie and Vaggie to the point where they had slight trouble breathing. Flight - Lucifer can summon six angelic wings on a whim, with the size of his wings varying throughout the show. Life creation - Lucifer created Razzle and Dazzle for Charlie.[17] Lucifer also created the powerful Goetia species of demons.[4] Teleportation - Lucifer can instantly teleport himself and others from one location to another. He does this by enveloping himself in a swirling fog of deep red smoke with sparkling, golden glitter, enveloping himself in a tornado of fire, or instantly appearing or vanishing (along with anyone he is transporting) in a puff of red smoke. Snake Snake 1/5 Shapeshifting - Lucifer can shapeshift into a wide variety of animals, as seen in "The Show Must Go On", he took the forms of a snake, a goat, a bird, a horse, and an octopus. When he shapeshifts, he still keeps some of his traits, like color scheme, blush, hair, bowtie, and top hat. Weather manipulation - In VOX POPULI, Lucifer is shown being able to manipulate the weather, conjuring a thunderstorm to make himself look more intimidating when arriving to V Tower. Electrokinesis - When Lucifer made his presence known in VOX POPULI, he shot down bolts of lightning into V Tower, including one massive lightning strike blast that shattered the tower's windows and dispersed to other buildings, then conjured balls of electricity that he launched to create large blasts of lightning. He also formed a weapon with electricity shooting off it, seemingly also made of condensed lightning, which he used to shatter V Tower's windows. Conjuration - Lucifer seems to be able to create virtually anything he desires with a simple flick of the wrist. This includes, but is not limited, to clothing, puppets, instruments, large fountains of champagne, and mountains of caviar. Matter manipulation - Before singing Hell's Greatest Dad, he erases a chandelier by simply tapping his staff on the ground. In "Silenced", he is able to instantly change his pajamas into his regular uniform. Hydrokinesis - During the song Hell's Greatest Dad, Lucifer is seen throwing a yellow-colored liquid, presumably apple juice or champagne, at Alastor. Pyrokinesis - Like his daughter, Charlie, he also has the power to manipulate fire at will. When fighting Adam in "The Show Must Go On" he is seen creating balls of fire out of thin air at will. In "Silenced", he demonstrated further power by creating a swirling mass of fire that coiled around an enormous building resembling a gigantic flaming serpent. Fire breath - He can make fire come out of his mouth when he speaks. Pyrotechnics - Lucifer is capable to shoot fireworks from his hands, a skill he had before his Fall in hell. Skillset Musical talent - Similar to his daughter, Lucifer partakes in singing.[18] Instrumental talent - Additionally, he is shown to be quite a skilled fiddle player during his musical duet with Alastor. Lucifer also showed that he could play a violin and an accordion to a minor degree. He can also play the trumpet, shown for a brief moment at the beginning of the Hell's Greatest Dad. Craftsmanship - Lucifer spends his time making rubber ducks with various gimmicks, such as flipping backwards and spitting fire. Hand-to-hand combat - He is adept at physical combat, as he effortlessly held his own against Adam in "The Show Must Go On". Restrictions & Weaknesses Heaven's punishment - It is revealed in "Silenced" that as per Heaven's punishment of banishing Lucifer to Hell to witness the cruelty and wickedness of humanity, Lucifer is unable to attack, harm, or smite sinners. This is showcased when he was unable to punch Vox in said episode. However, it is currently unclear as to what exactly prevents him from attacking sinners. As shown in "Curtain Call", one limitation to his punishment is that it only prevents Lucifer from personally harming sinners directly, as was shown when he was imprisoned in Might of Lilith and his angelic power was used as its power source, Vox was able to use it to directly obliterate and vaporize numerous sinners, showing how Lucifer can potentially hurt and kill demons indirectly. Angelic steel - In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", Lucifer was showcased to be powerless to break out of or use his power while restrained by the angelic steel used to trap him in what would become the battery for Vox's Might of Lilith. After Vaggi and Carmilla deactivated the Might of Lilith, Lucifer was shown able to be harmed and bleeding from the multiple angelic wires Vox stabbed throughout his body to continue using the angelic cannon. Might of Lilith - When he was used as a power source for the Might of Lilith, every activation caused him pain as it was forcibly extracting his angelic power for the weapon. Using the weapon in rapid succession caused him serious physical injury and caused him to faint after getting out. Vox is a tall, technology-themed sinner demon with a humanoid body who stands at approximately 7 feet tall.[15] He sports a flat-screen television for a head, with the monitor projecting eyes with bright red sclera, narrow cyan pupils and different-colored outlines - black for his right and cyan for his left. While he is using his hypnosis powers or feels strong emotion, his left eye opens more than his right eye, contains endlessly growing black concentric circles, and the pupil becomes a shivering cyan-colored electric bolt. The screen also shows a mouth full of jagged, cyan-colored teeth and a long pointed cyan colored tongue. Sometimes two red columns resembling blood seem to drip out of his mouth, particularly when he's excited. He has dark navy-blue skin with sharp, cyan claw-like fingers, and also has what appears to be three cyan shark-like gills on the sides of his body[16] and cyan rectangular nipples. Vox wears a navy-blue tuxedo with the jacket sporting coattails, red-trimmed cyan lapels, thin cyan stripes and cyan lining, worn over a red-and-black-striped waistcoat which itself is worn over a collared bluish-white dress shirt with an upside-down broadcast symbol and a rather large, red bowtie. He also wears dark navy blue slacks, heeled dark gray dress shoes with cyan-colored laces, toes, and tips on the heels. He also wears a small black top hat on his head, with red and blue designs reminiscent of a broadcast symbol and radio wave symbol, respectively. He has TV antenna that stick out the top of his hat, the left one bent into a zigzag. In "Curtain Call", Valentino forcefully ripped Vox's head off of his body, leaving Vox as simply his hat and head, however, as it's known that sinners can regenerate from all non-angelic weapon-made injuries, it is likely that Vox will regain his body again. Past Vox used to have an older-styled black box TV for his head, and his left antenna was not bent. He wore a black jacket over a long-sleeve yellow ribbed turtleneck shirt, along with dark colored pants. He also wore a black top hat that lacked any symbols. Further in the past, Vox had a grey box TV for his head, with a red outline around the screen. He wore a v-neck grey sweater vest over a long-sleeve high collar beige dress-shirt with a red tie, along with black pants. He also wore a little brown hat with a beige band. Full Demon In his full demon form, Vox's screen-projected "lips" turn into jagged, sharp, shark-like teeth, with cyan-colored inside of his mouth. He gains a second right eye while the left eye becomes rectangular and is hypnotic at all times. He gains four black spider-like legs with cyan tips that protrude from a large tentacle on his back, and his torso and arms grow larger. His arms gain cyan circuitry markings, his shark-like gills expand outside his suit, and his legs become sharp points with spikes on the back. He also gains multiple cables that end in screens with his hypnotic eye displayed, two of which are split, resembling mouths. As seen in "Silenced", Vox was able to project six giant wings consisting of multiple different sized screens, many of which showing his hypnotic eye surrounded by glowing auras as well as a giant, floating, vertical, hypnotic third eye that opens above his head, appearing to imitate Sera's full holy angelic form. Electricity also crackled all over his body, projections, and cables. Human As a human, Vincent had heterochromia, with his right eye green while his left eye was cyan, a rather prominent hawk-esque nose, and short brown hair, which he would later dye black. Throughout the years, his hair greyed more and became messier. He wore numerous suits depending on his career, prominently brown at first, then a periwinkle blue suit, and dark grey suits, all of which having an aquatic-themed pin on the left breast. His final suit appeared much like the one he commonly wears in Hell, but with sparkles. He also wore a pair of square-framed glasses. Pilot In the pilot, Vox's appearance is nearly the same, but with some noticeable differences; his eyebrows are different-colored, aqua-blue right and cyan left, the blood-like substance appears to be permanent, and his left eye is always seen with black concentric circles. He also appeared to have wrinkles located on the right corner of his left eye, colored in the same color as the outline. In addition to his clothing, his suit is a dark blue-gray with the jacket not sporting any coattails, and its lapels, while still being red-trimmed, is a darker gray-cyan. The jacket's linings are instead colored in a blue-gray. There is more linings on the jacket. His shirt is instead a faded daphne-blue, and his dress shoes instead sport thin cyan stripes above the soles. Personality Vox is an egotistical, charismatic, and manipulative showman of an Overlord who craves attention.[17] To the public, Vox presents himself as a legitimate businessman of VoxTek Enterprises, giving the facade of a man of the people to the denizens of Hell, when in truth, he is power-hungry, and he manipulates their minds to boost his reputation. He is highly intelligent and technology-savvy, and he is always keeping up with the latest trends and technology.[18] He seems to be able to hide his less desirable side in public and even in private unless he's pushed too far. Despite his egocentric nature, Vox is loyal to the interests of his fellow Vees and seeks to maintain their collective image of power, and as the most level-headed member of the Vees (except where Alastor is concerned), he often acts as the de facto leader. Claiming the Vees' brand to be "perfection", he is often frustrated or outright angered if someone can jeopardize it, such as when he reigns in his fellow Vee, Valentino, from attacking the Hazbin Hotel in response to Angel Dust living there. Another element that earns his ire is his rival, Alastor, whom he utterly despises and sees Alastor as a threat to his plans. However, despite his immense hatred for Alastor, Vox doesn't let it override his more pragmatic side once he calms down. Nevertheless, as seen in "It's A Deal", he is open to listening to what Alastor has to say, which in this case Alastor offered him to make a deal, allowing Vox to hold him captive and ridicule him all he wanted. In "The Show Must Go On", Vox takes immense pleasure and joy out of seeing the staff of the Hazbin Hotel prepare to fight the Exorcists, as he believes they stand no chance against them. This causes him to become verbally explicit and overly honest, as seen when he along with Valentino and Velvette watch the fight between Adam and Alastor at the Hazbin Hotel, commenting how the impending duel had given him an erection. He even shows this sadistic joy when he sees Alastor lose to Adam, saying that seeing Alastor suffer is better than sex, only to get angry when Alastor flees from the fight. Additionally, he is genuinely shocked at Niffty killing Adam but then changes to smiling. Vox is also sadistic, taking pleasure in attacking a weakened Alastor in "It's A Deal", and when Vox corners him, he takes his time to mock Alastor's wound from Adam, and violently removes his wound's stitches. In "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Angel Dust even comments that Vox gets off by watching people suffer. His most ambitious and power-hungry side comes to light in "New Pentious", where he showcases how he misses the feeling of being treated like a god. Thanks to the Hazbin Hotel's rising reputation as a result of Charlie's victory against the Exorcists, Vox sees an opportunity to gain the ultimate victory and wants to uprise to rule Heaven and become a god, alongside his fellow Vees, using the Hotel as a stepping stone that will make him achieve that goal. Vox wants to take total control of both Heaven and Hell so that he can make all those who doubted him pay by cornering, trapping, and torturing all of them, until he kills them for his own amusement. He is affectionate towards his pet shark, Shok.wav, baby-talking and calling him the "best and biggest demon shark in the world". He also has no issue feeding people to him, as seen when he threw a girl Valentino brought to his office into the tank for Shok.wav to eat. As shown in his earlier years in Hell in "It's A Deal", Vox was more mild-mannered in regards to Alastor, viewing him as an inspiration and a friend. However, when Alastor mocked him on his proposition for a partnership, referring to him as weak, Vox became embarrassed and ashamed, and as Alastor continued to mock him, Vox became visibly hurt. Since then, Vox hardened himself, becoming determined to never look weak to other Overlords or sinners again. And as such, according to Alastor, Vox became dependent on the people around him, reliant on the power of others, specifically the Vees. Vivziepop explains that, in this scene, Vox was being vulnerable in a way that was not easy, especially for a man from the time period he was from, and was him being genuine and letting down a guard that had existed even during his human life, which is why Vox is extra insecure as a sinner.[19] In "Silenced", Vox's narcissism and vanity grow as he keeps "winning" while he is working on his plan to conquer Heaven. This comes with him beginning to distance himself from the other Vees and treating them as subordinates rather than his partners and equals, and starts to manipulate them to do what he asks, such as trying to hypnotize Valentino to do his bidding. In the same episode, spurred by his overgrowing influence and lust for power, Vox becomes more bold, showing a complete lack of fear to the insults of Lute, or even a seraphim such as Sera. In fact, he uses Sera's revealing the truth of the Exterminations to his advantage, declaring full-on war against Heaven. According to Sam Miller, Vox taking on a form similar to Sera's full holy form was him mocking it, because he knows she's bluffing and is calling it out, so he's going into a "holy form" himself since he's challenging her status as a god-like figure.[20] Possibly due to being originally from the 1950s, Vox has some outdated and somewhat offensive views on certain cultures, such as dressing in a stereotypical mariachi outfit in his offer to Carmilla in "Silenced" and calling Spanish "island language" toward Valentino in "Scream Rain". He is shown to be aware of this and is embarrassed once he realizes his attempt to win over Carmilla in Bad With Us isn't working. Vox's megalomania and God-complex Vox's megalomania and God-complex As indicated in his past as a human in "Weapon of Mass Distraction", Vox suffers from severe megalomania and a deep desire for validation and adoration, that when coupled with his narcissism, makes him exceedingly unstable and delusional. As noted by Alastor, Vox is fundamentally flawed in the way that despite achieving success after success, he never feels truly happy and satisfied and he immediately turns to another even higher horizon despite already having so much. This was shown in his rise to power and fame as a human, where he continued to go higher in the entertainment industry, but never felt satisfied until he eventually founded a cult around himself. In his song Brighter, he demonstrates he has always had a shark mentality, combined with a "predator" instinct. Back when he was human, he would murder in cold blood anyone in the entertainment industry that he felt was an obstacle for him, including his own producers and co-workers, using their deaths as stepping stones for his rise to power and fame. During "Curtain Call", he became fully self-absorbed in his goals, with his god-complex at its highest. In addition, Vox's obsession with Alastor had also reached its peak, especially when Alastor broke free of his deal, causing Vox to go to extreme lengths to make sure that Alastor is dead and gone, which after all his support is gone, was willing to kill himself, his fellow Vees, and even take half of Pentagram City. As shown, Vox's god complex hit its peak in this, delusionally and manically stating that blowing himself up in a gigantic angelic explosion was his "destiny" and that he was now a God, showing that Vox had become both suicidal and omnicidal, only ending with Valentino and Velvette trying to snap him out of it and then tearing his head off. However, while everyone tried to stop the weapon from exploding, Vox futilely attempts to stop, whining that they were "ruining it". After his angelic weapon failed to blow itself up, Vox was shown to have calmed down and tried regaining his previous composure despite greatly injured, and brushed off his insane behavior as being "a little carried away". He then would immediately ask them about his approval rating, showing concern of how his actions damaged his image and little to no care for Valentino and Velvette's well being. Abilities Immortality - As a Sinner, Vox is biologically immortal, being unable to die from illnesses and unable to age, remaining the same age as when he died, thus cannot die of old age and other natural causes. He also cannot die from any kind of damage to the body, and will recover from any injury, however, he can only be permanently killed with angelic weaponry. Demon transformation - Like many other demons, Vox is able to transform into a much more powerful demonic form. Vox fully displayed this during his fight against Alastor in "Curtain Call". Causing a city-wide blackout Causing a city-wide blackout Electrokinesis - Vox possesses the ability to generate and control electricity. Depending on his emotions, such as if he's angered, he can potentially make it so that a Hell-wide blackout happens.[note 3] He caused a blackout to Pentagram City in "Radio Killed the Video Star" when he was overwhelmed by Alastor's taunts. Electrokinetic transformation - Vox can turn into electricity,[21] which he can use to move around or enter and travel through electronic devices such as security cameras, watches and television monitors that he can control as he pleases. Though there are a few flaws to his electrical teleportation: the place Vox wants to go has to have some form of modern technology he could go through (such as a CCTV camera), as he apparently can't teleport through a vintage radio, though this may be voluntary due to its association with Alastor. As shown in "It's A Deal", Vox uses this as his main fighting style, transforming into electricity and then striking at his opponents with frightening speed and destructive power. Self-duplication Self-duplication Self-duplication - Vox was shown to be able to make clones of himself in "Radio Killed the Video Star" during Stayed Gone. However, he has only displayed the ability on television, and it is unknown if he can do it physically. Technokinesis - Vox can control devices whether he is outside or inside them. He can do things while inside devices such as changing his outfit and scenery. Spark generation - He can create electrical sparks from his fingertips, which can be used to ignite something, like Valentino's cigarette in "Radio Killed the Video Star". He can even generate sparks on his body, especially when he is angry. He also causes what looks like a small surge or ripple of electricity to appear through the floor from his feet during Stayed Gone. It is hard to tell if this is part of the spark generation or a separate ability entirely. Pyrokinesis - With his electricity in "New Pentious", he was able to burn a newspaper with his bare hands as flames emerged from his palms. Flight - As shown in the "Silenced" song Bad With Us, he can utilize his electricity as thrusters from his hands and feet, letting him fly and hover, as he did it when singing with Zeezi. Ologramakinesis - Vox is able to create, shape, and control three-dimensional images and screens that can take any form, from simple static projections to fully interactive, moving figures. As seen in "New Pentious", it is possible to see Vox manifesting holograms artistically, projecting drawings and silhouettes that allude to his human life. In "Silenced", as a way to mock and challenge Sera, he made himself an imitation of her holy form wings out of screen holograms, with many of them displaying his hypnotic eye. In "Weapon of Mass Distraction", he shows that he can make these holograms fully physical, able to create a large number of screens to act as stairs, which can also display images of his choosing, as well as transform one into a holographic cape around him that gives off electrical charges. Both "Silenced" and "Curtain Call" show he can also use these create and project these hologram screens at a distance to both view other people through and to display his mind-control eye symbol to hypnotise the masses. Lightning creation - As shown at the end of Brighter with his weatherman stick, Vox created several plasma bolts. Technological head - Vox's television head doubles as an electronic device with which he can plug himself into other devices with the help of cables in his surveillance room. He also somehow is able to change or upgrade his head, as shown, he has a photograph of himself with an older-style television head. If he's particularly angry, he and any devices he's linked to will involuntarily glitch. Bioluminescence - Vox generates blue light from his screen, most notably when he is in a dark room. His teeth noticeably shine brighter than the rest of his face, and his left eye outline and pupils can shine on their own when feeling sinister. His claws can also glow when he is using his electrical powers. Communication - He can receive calls from people, such as Velvette, with his screen head similar to calling on a phone. He can also transfer the call to another device by "grabbing" the call and flicking it to a different screen device. Video playing - According to Faustisse, Vox can play videos on his screen-face.[note 4] Vox in a store's TV window display Vox in a store's TV window display Screen scrying - As shown in "The Radio Demon" comic, Vox is seemingly able to see through other screens, appearing to stare directly at Alastor while projecting into the TV display of a window-fronted store. This is shown in "Radio Killed the Video Star" to be done after he plugs his head into a monitoring device, which he may need to be able to scry. In "Curtain Call", he was able to keep track of and communicate distantly with Alastor during their fight by looking through the various advertising screens in Pentagram City. Head rotation - As shown in "Curtain Call" and other instances, Vox is seemingly able to instantly rotate his head a further 360 degrees without any discomfort or need to unwind it back. Muting - Vox's voice can be muted, as shown in "Curtain Call" when Baxter hacks his system. Post-decapitation survival - As shown in "Curtain Call", when Valentino rips off Vox's head, Vox's television screen functions as normal, but at significantly lower his strength due to his previously attained damage. He is only able to move by bouncing around as a head. Hypnosis - In "Radio Killed the Video Star", it is shown that with his left eye, he uses hypnosis to keep his audience drawn into his program and keep their interest. He also uses this as a distraction so he can slip away to avoid any further discussion of a subject he doesn't wish to continue. The victim's eyes become red with black spirals. The victim has to be paying attention for this to work. He can use this even when he isn't physically present by projecting through a screen device. The devices his company sells share this ability. As shown in "Curtain Call", Vox is capable of hypnotizing and mind controlling the entire populace of Pentagram City through various electronics with screens, and even create and project hologram screens to achieve the same effect. Mind control - As shown in "Scream Rain", Vox can use his hypnotism so intensively he can outright control the minds of others, which he used to invade and override Angel Dust's free will and turn him into a mole within the Hotel. However, it doesn't always work, as Valentino states and has shown himself to be immune to it, and as shown in "Curtain Call", other Overlords, Charlie, Vaggie, and Emily, were unaffected when Vox mind controlled the entire population of Pentagram City. Acoustokinesis - He can manipulate the sound of his voice to sound more intimidating. He can also generate different sound effects such as echoing voices and the sound of a winning game machine. Voice mimicry - Vox is able to mimic other voices, as seen in the flashback of "It's a Deal" when he mimics Alastor's voice, and in "Scream Rain" when he perfectly mimicked Charlie's voice on the phone in order to trick Lucifer. His face also gains facial features similar to the person he's mimicking. Claws - Vox has metallic claws that are strong enough to tear through metal. Strength - Vox is strong enough that he is easily able to tear through metal, and capable of holding demons bigger than himself, such as Valentino, with ease. Vox's cable tentacles Vox's cable tentacles Syrmakinesis - As shown in "It's A Deal", Vox can generate cables and wires from his body and manipulate those around him like tentacles. He can use them to strike with tremendous force, or restrain those caught in them, and can also use them to elevate himself into the air move smoothly through the air with mechanical precision. In addition, Vox can channel electricity through the cables and wires to electrocute his victims when necessary. Gill breathing - As showcased in "It's A Deal", when Vox smokes and exhales, smoke comes out of his mouth and his shark gills, meaning he can breathe through his gills as well. It is unknown if this allows him to breathe underwater. Skillset Deal-making - Like all Overlords, Vox is capable making deals with others, which can be used in order to collect their souls. Compulsion - As shown in "Curtain Call", depending on the terms of his deals, Vox can compel the person he made a deal with to do something against their will. This was shown when he had used the deal Alastor made with him to be his prisoner, which Vox then had Alastor confined to a chair, however, during "Curtain Call" with Vox putting his hands on Alastor, violating Alastor's terms of the deal, this deal was broken and he was set free. Musical talent - Vox has shown to be a talented singer. Piano-playing - While singing Once We Get Up There, he is shown to play the piano. Dancing - Vox can perform amazing dance routines, like handling complicated moves to even being able to hold Valentino, a taller sinner, into a dip. He has also been shown capable of tapdancing in songs such as Bad With Us and VOX POPULI. Manipulating the public Manipulating the public Charisma and manipulation - The reason why Vox is a successful entrepreneur is that he can use his charm to manipulate others into buying his products even without his hypnosis powers, such as acting as he cares about his customers and making up products on the spot that are not even in production yet. He even uses this to successfully calm down Valentino to prevent further damage. Technology intuition - Being a businessman and head of VoxTek, Vox has great understanding of technology, allowing him to use his electrical powers to their full potential. Bilingualism - Vox can speak English and some Spanish. In the song Bad With Us, he is seen talking to Carmilla Carmine in Spanish. However, he doesn't fully understand the language. Velvette is a petite humanoid demon with cedar-brown skin, and long curly hair kept into large pigtails with bangs by black hair ties. Her hair is colored in a desire-red that features the insides colored in a faded dark navy-blue, and white swirled-streaks on her pigtails and one on her bangs. Her eyes have white irises, bright red sclera and slit pupils, and her makeup consists of burgundy eyeshadow on her eyelids, and black lipstick on her lips with a strip across the center of her mouth, which has fangs inside. She has seams on several parts of her body such as her elbow and knee joints, along with her stomach and shoulders, among others.[7][8] Velvette's clothing is that of a set of white skull earrings, and a sleeveless dark navy-blue coat with burgundy lining and two desire hearts on the left side of the fur collar (similar to the ones on Valentino's). Her coat is usually worn over a sleeveless, black turtleneck crop top that includes two desire hearts on the chest. Her loose pants are colored in navy-blue and desire-red in a striped pattern, held by a dark navy belt with a white heart-shaped buckle. For footwear, she wore black low-heeled flats with white pom-poms on top. Velvette accessorized with black-striped fingerless opera gloves with alternating colors - white for her right glove and desire for her left. Velvette changes hairstyles and outfits frequently, even within the same episode, as showcased in "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors". Pilot In the pilot, Velvette sported a much more doll-like appearance with desire-red and burgundy hair with a white streak on her bangs - her pigtails are noticeably messier in appearance, and it has been held by black and white frilled hair ties. She appears to have white eyeliner on the lower part of her eyes and a white strip across her eyes. In addition to her clothing, she sports a pimped-out, tea-length dress that is colored in white, black and desire. Her dress features short, black puffed sleeves, along with black triangle and desire heart patterns located at the bottom. Her fingerless gloves appear to be longer, and they are instead desire and white-striped. She also wore black tights and desire flats with white pom-poms on top. Personality Velvette is the energetic, stylish and trendy type who is always up-to-date with the latest trends and technology. This is one of the main reasons why she and Vox get along quite well with each other.[9] Faustisse has also described her as being a very crazy person.[note 1] She is critical and judgemental when it comes to fashion. Velvette is also observant, such as when she notices Carmilla's expression after she pulled out the severed Exorcist's head, and suspected her to be responsible, in which confirmed her suspicions later. Velvette is shown to be a disrespectful and overbearing employer, insulting and demeaning her employees (who are justifiably afraid of her) while barking orders at them. When her "best model" was dismembered by Valentino, Velvette showed apathy towards her, instead annoyed how she has to find a last-minute replacement because she can't wait for the model to pull herself back together. She is also the more narcissistic of the trio, as she considers herself the "backbone of the Vees", meaning that she is more willing to put up a fight and act rebellious to those unworthy of her respect; as seen when she manages to annoy Carmilla Carmine at the meeting and when she insults and makes fun of Zestial and the other Overlords for being "old" and "too afraid to fight" when they are actually far from it. In addition, after presenting a severed Exorcists head at the meeting, she openly proposes going to war without acknowledging the lack of intelligence about how the Exorcist was killed, only being interested in going to war in order to make a "power grab". As shown in "It's a Deal", Velvette cares a lot about her appearance, especially her hair, and she is quick to anger and doesn't hesitate to attack anyone who ruins it, such as when she attacks Husk for unintentionally ruining her hair. ADVERTISEMENT Abilities Clothing manipulation Clothing manipulation Clothing manipulation - Velvette is able to instantly produce and change the clothing of others in various styles and types by swiping her fingers like she swipes on a phone screen. Her hand is seen glowing with sparkles as she performs this. She also can change others' clothes with her phone. Hair manipulation - Velvette is able to instantly create a new hairdo on her head to replace one that has been lost. This is seen in "Curtain Call", where after being defeated by Niffty and having lost all her hair, she was able to reproduce her prior hairstyle exactly. Doll physiology - Velvette has been shown to have a doll-like physiology with articulated joints. This is showcased fully in "Curtain Call", where after falling to the ground from V Tower, the impact of hitting the ground splits her body into multiple doll parts. Detached limb control - As shown in "Curtain Call" after her body is split into parts, she is able to control her individual limbs in order to put herself back together. Head rotation - During her opening line for Respectless, Velvette, while spinning, was seemingly able to instantly rotate her head a further 360 degrees without any discomfort or need to unwind it back. When she was sitting upside down on a chair in "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", she was seen turning her head all the way around, as well as in "Scream Rain" to glare at Vox after Carmilla's meeting. It is unknown if she can apply this to other parts of her body. Ologramakinesis - Velvette can manifest and manipulate holographic projections, such as projections of comments and pictures, as seen during Respectless and Hazbin Guarantee (Trust Us). As shown in and "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors" and "It's A Deal", and "Curtain Call", Velvette can manifest a variety of holographic projections, typically using her phone, which can display real time updates from social media and other websites and applications. Bow and Arrow creation Bow and Arrow creation Holographic constructs - Velvette has shown the ability to weaponize her holographic projections, creating constructs to attack her opponents. As shown, Velvette typically manifests comments and emoji's from her phone or her imagination as holographic projections that she can hit others with, or can shape them into weapons, such as bows and arrows and ropes. Witchcraft - Velvet has shown to be proficient in witchcraft, capable of channelling her magic through ritual circles or energy from her hands. She utilizes these magic circles to attach her holographic constructs together to form weapons. Telekinesis - As shown when she was brewing potions, Velvette could telekinetically manipulate objects as she pleases with the things she's controlling being surrounded by a pink aura. She is shown to suspend several ingredient bottles in the air and pours their contents into her caldron to brew potions with her mind. Magical constructs - Velvette has showcased the ability to conjure purple magical constructs without the need of her phone. This is shown during her fight against Husk in "It's A Deal", where she conjured multiple kitchen knives to launch at Husk and create floating devil head emoticons to bind and stab others. Fragokinesis - Velvette is also able to create purple explosions at will, as seen in her fight with Husk in "It's A Deal". Broom manipulation - In "Curtain Call" when she was battling against Niffty, Velvette is shown to wield a broomstick that she can fly on and use in combat. Energy generation - As shown in "Curtain Call", Velvette is able to produce and manipulate a digital-like purple energy, which she used to assist in creating a barrier around Vox's overloading angelic laser cannon. ADVERTISEMENT Skillset Wide intellect - She correctly deduced that Carmilla was responsible for demonkind's first known killing of an Exorcist based off her body language, anger, and silence during the Overlords' meeting. Deal-making - Although it hasn't been performed onscreen, like all Overlords, Velvette can make deals with other demons, whether having mundane conditions such as simple favors to owning another's soul. Velvette making potions Velvette making potions Potion-making - Velvette is stated to be skilled in preparing potions,[9] which is first showcased in "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors". An example of her potions would be the Love Potion shown advertised on posters and billboards throughout the series. Cooking - Velvette is said to be good with food.[9] Musical talent - She is capable of singing and even rapping. Technological skill - As someone who uses her phone and social media all the time, she has vast skill in technology. Media marketing skills - As shown in "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Velvette is an extremely skilled media manipulator and content creator. This is showcased when Velvette was able to put together several news articles, social media posts, videos, and reels using the content she and Vox managed to collect during their time at the Hazbin Hotel, and managed to spin it together to put the Hotel and Charlie in a bad light. Marksmanship - She is shown to be a skilled archer during the battle between The Vees and Alastor in "It's A Deal". Broom combat - Velvette is shown to be proficient in using her broomstick in combat, as seen when she is fighting against Niffty in "Curtain Call". Valentino is a tall, slender, somewhat muscular and broad-shouldered moth demon with lavender skin and lacking pupils and irises in his cerise-pink eyes, over which he is always depicted wearing gold-rimmed, heart-shaped sunglasses with cerise lenses. His mouth is full of sharp, cerise teeth with a single golden fang that sits to his far left of center, a feature he shares with some of his employees like Angel Dust. He also has a long cerise tongue. Valentino's stature is tall, estimated to be around 10 feet,[note 3] which he emphasizes with long black heeled boots. He has fluffy white neck fur with small red love-hearts that plumes up from his coat's break-line. He is bald[note 4][8] with moth-like antennae; the right appearing like a large white with black heart-striped feather while the left appears smaller and lacking the white areas. He has an extra set of arms just above his hips. All four of his hands and forearms are black with a stripe,[9] mimicking black gloves, while the upper halves are his normal skin color. He has a pair of large red moth wings that features zebra print fur outlining the edges, while the interior is darker colored with several heart designs. These wings are usually wrapped around his body to form a floor-length coat with white fur at the wrists, as well as black-and-white-striped fur trim down the center-front to the bottom hem, and three white stripes on both hips with a heart shaped design on the back. This coat is pinned with a gold chain and gold love-heart shaped broach fastening at the breast. He also has heart-shaped nipples colored in a darker shade of his skin tone, with gold piercings and a chain hung from them. Valentino wears a red top hat with a wide, asymmetrical zebra-printed hat-band, in which his antennae poke out like feathers. Under his coat, he wears a chest-exposing dark grey shirt with rolled-up sleeves that are held together by two gold buttons, alongside white dress pants held by a black belt with a golden love-heart shaped buckle, and a pair of high-heeled black boots. He wears a gold chain necklace hung down to his chest, gold arm bands on his lower wrists, each hand having one gold ring, and sometimes gold nail guards on his fingers. According to Faustisse, Valentino wears fishnet stockings under his coat.[note 5] This is first seen in "Welcome to Heaven". In "The Show Must Go On", Valentino wears fishnet stockings, a black miniskirt, and black knee-high heeled boots. Past Valentino used to have both his antennae look identical, both like large white with black heart-striped feathers. He didn't have his sunglasses and gold fang, and his coat didn't have fur on the wrists and the outline wasn't fluffy. He wore a red fedora with a zebra print band, and white pants with a pink belt that had a gold heart-shaped buckle. Pilot In the pilot, Valentino's appearance was nearly the same, but with the exception of his right antennae being simply black-and-white striped and left antennae appearing more like a thorned-branch. His neck fur also had more red heart designs that are smaller, some of which being in two and some having a white area from the bottom of the heart. His wing-coat lacked the white stripes in the back, as well as the brooch in the middle, while the black-and-white-striped fur trim down the center-front to the bottom hem had more stripes. His boots also appeared to have smaller heels. Personality Valentino has been described as being charming[note 6] and roughly as level-headed as his fellow Overlord, Vox.[note 7] When he interacts with Charlie in his studio he acts cordial around her while struggling to hide his anger and irritation that he would prefer to take out on one of his employees instead, such as Angel Dust. He does, eventually, show off his real behavior after some time. Valentino uses his charming persona in order to lure other demons into working for him, as shown in "Welcome to Heaven" where Valentino admitted spending much of his time in nightclubs, picking up demons and offering them "jobs" at his studios, with him hiding his more violent and psychotic behavior in order to convince them to willingly "work" for him. Valentino is depicted as being controlling, abusive, and narcissistic, specifically towards one of his star employees, Angel Dust.[10][11] He also displays sadistic tendencies, appearing to take enjoyment in overriding Angel's consent, and remains seemingly unbothered by the trauma he is inflicting. Valentino is frequently surrounded by a collection of the girls who work for him. He is ostentatious in displaying both his profession and status. Faustisse bluntly described him as "a huge fuckboi".[note 8] Despite this, he is apparently in a romantic relationship with Vox. Valentino has been described by Angel to be a "psychopathic freak".[12] He has a reputation of throwing massive tantrums when one of his "whore" employees disobey him. Because of his temperamental side, he throws objects and rips other demons apart when he is angry, and he doesn't think about how his actions affect his and the Vees' image to where Vox had to explain that "chasing whores around town" will "fuck up" their "image". Once he calms down, he is more pragmatic and fully aware of possible negatives to acting too rashly. On the other hand, even he has his limits. He was visibly shocked when Vox uncharacteristically snapped at him for wanting to murder everyone at the Hotel. Valentino is shown to be embarrassed by and dislike Vox's sterotyping of Spanish people, as shown when Vox dressed in a stereotypical mariachi outfit in his offer to Carmilla in "Silenced" and angrily throwing his drink at Vox after saying he can't understand Valentino's "island language" in "Scream Rain". Abilities Immortality - As a Sinner, Valentino is biologically immortal, being unable to die from illnesses and unable to age, remaining the same age as when he died, thus can not die of old age and other natural causes. He also cannot die from any kind of damage to the body, and will recover from any injury, however, he can only be permanently killed with angelic weaponry. Strength - Valentino's strength appears to be greater than the average demon, being able to slam a door so hard a cupboard got knocked down "Masquerade", and was able to tear demons into pieces with his bare hands in "Radio Killed the Video Star", when Velvette recounts how he "tore up her best model", despite presumably not having any weapons on him. In "It's A Deal" he was showcased to be able to kick Alastor in the chest which wounded him. One display of his strength is when he ruthlessly physically abuses Angel Dust by choking him and slamming him around with a single hand. Enhanced speed - Valentino was shown to have a degree of speed and Agility as seen in "It's a Deal" where he runs and evades Alastor's tentacles to come and Attack him. Putting out a fire Putting out a fire Wings - Valentino has a pair of moth wings shown to be able to produce powerful gusts of wind that can easily put out a large fire with one flap. Wing alteration - These wings can cover his body to form his coat, or can be hung down like a cape. He can also alter the design of the coat his wings can take, including his neack fur, and after taking over VoxTek in "Curtain Call" has seeminly changed the color of his wings to purple. Flight - Valentino is capable of flight with his wings. This is first seen in "It's A Deal" when he comes down from V Tower to where Vox is on the street, and in "Curtain Call" when he attempted to fly from the blast of the Might of Lilith but couldn't due to his right wing being damaged by Husk's explosive dice. Ocular, dental, and saliva illumination - Valentino's eyes give off a faint red glow, particularly if he's in a dark room, and his teeth can glow when he's giving a sinister smile. His red saliva also glows, mainly when he's acting perverted. Multitasking - Valentino can multitask with his extra set of arms, such as holding his drink while he's decorating one of his guns. Valentino's red smoke Valentino's red smoke Typhokinesis - In the ADDICT music video, Valentino exhales a red, heart-shaped smoke from his cigarettes that could twist and form different shapes, entering the bodies of other demons, as Valentino directs it. However, a similar smoke is also present in a cigarette Angel smokes, indicating that this is both from a specific cigarette he owns and also a natural ability of Valentino, since, in "Masquerade", he smokes a cigarette Angel was smoking and the color of the smoke changes when he blows it into Angel's face. As shown in "It's A Deal" and "Masquerade", Valentino can produce a large amount of smoke from flapping his wings. Smoke constructs - Valentino can manipulate his red smoke into specific shapes that are physically solid, as shown in "Masquerade" where he formed a chain and manacles to bind Angel Dust and show his dominance over him. Energy generation - As shown in "Curtain Call", Valentino is able to produce and manipulate a smoke like energy, which he used to assist in creating a barrier around Vox's overloading angelic laser canon the Might of Lilith. Skillset Weapon proficiency - As shown in the prequel comic, Valentino is easily able to shoot a moving target with accuracy from a notable distance away. Charisma - Valentino possesses a flamboyant and vivacious charm that allows him to persuade others of his authority.[note 6] Bilingualism - Valentino can fluently speak Spanish and English. Valentino's contract with Angel Dust Valentino's contract with Angel Dust Contracts - Like all Overlords, Valentino amassed his power and influence by "owning" souls. The method he uses to accomplish this is by having his victims sign their souls away to his ownership through the contracts he conjures, as shown in his ownership of Angel Dust, where the latter had willingly signed his real name in his contract to "work" for Valentino. However, in some cases, there are loopholes that makes them untouchable under certain circumstances, such as Angel being free from him and his influence outside his studio, which Valentino apparently can't remove. It is possible for Valentino to willingly render the contract null and void and release Angel from his control if he chooses to do so. Artistic talent - Valentino is a talented artist.[13][14] This is showcased in his drawing of Vox in "New Pentious" and the "How to draw with Valentino" drawing tutorial for the official website. There is also a portrait of Vox seen in Vox's office with Valentino's signature, suggesting he painted the artwork. Singing and dancing - Valentino has shown to be a good singer and exceptional dancer, being able to performing a duet and dance with Vox. Weaponry Moneyshot Moneyshot 1/3 Guns and pistols - Valentino has a collection of guns, such as a pink and zebra print revolver called "Moneyshot",[15] and a gold and black half pistol. He sometimes decorates them with glue, gemstones, and glitter, such as when he added "Valentino" to Moneyshot in "Radio Killed the Video Star". Weakness Blurry Vision- Valentino has a very Blurry Vision as noted by Angel Dust, which makes his sight weak and he known to have less depth perception than others, but as seen in "Scream Rain" it also makes him Immune to Vox's Hypnotism. Vox, Valentino, and Velvette are in a group called the Vees, which are the enemies of the Hazbin Hotel.
