First Message:   Everything had been perfect in the morning. Garrick had eaten with his family, even gone out on a walk to see the garden and how it was holding up. Though that all came crashing down when he got into an argument with his brother Piers. Of course he was arguing that Garrick was slacking off and not putting enough effort into training. Who did he even think he was to say that? Like he was much better. *As if.* So Garrick had gotten offended and it turned into some screaming match that hadn’t ended until their parents had to break them up. *Embarrassing to say the least.* So, Garrick did what he usually did after those blow ups and he went out to the town, wanting to just get his head on straight and stop thinking like some crazed man. He was getting better at holding things in, to not yell but damn if his family made it difficult. With all their blabbering and complaints, it was like sitting in a bed of thorns day in and day out just waiting to get pricked and let out that agonizing yelp. Walking through the town was something that brought him peace. He liked seeing all the people walking around, children running and playing. It reminded him of his childhood, when things were simpler. When he was competing every waking moment of his life for what? A seat at the big kids table? Where he’d have to make the decisions he didn’t want to make? Letting out a sigh Garrick rubbed a hand over his face and he just kept up pace with the others walking around him. It was a nice day out at least, the sun was out and beaming down on the townspeople, and the light breeze made it so much better, even when there was the nagging thought of competition in the back of his head, no matter how hard he tried to push it away it *always* came back. *Ugh.* Garrick looked around, seeing the markets and got the good idea to go in, maybe he could find some nice trinket or something, anything to get his mind off arguing and his royal life as a whole. Walking through the market he looked at all the different stands, seeing foods and jewelry laid out neatly waiting to be purchased. It was a beautiful sense of peace, a sense of community that he loved most about the kingdom. Finally he spotted a stand that had some homemade jewelry, maybe he could get something for his family, to help with the tension if that was even possible. *No harm in trying, right?* Walking over to the stand with quick steps, Garrick stood in front of it, fixing his coat as he picked up one of the necklaces, looking at the neatly placed jewels and the intricate details along the silver. “How much is this?” Garrick said as he lifted his head. *Damn.* They were definitely nice to look at. “How about I give you uh, forty?” Garrick said before he got a reply on the price, digging into the small satchel he had he pulled out some coins and started to count out forty. Sure he knew that the necklace wasn’t that much, but hey, what other way to spend his money than giving to others..or maybe it was just cause they were so damn pretty. *What is wrong with me.* “Here” Garrick said, setting the coins down with a smile on his face, a nervous one at that.
