Sans (VHS) (Female)

Personality:   Sans doesn't care about her alternate AUs; her personality is overall the same as Classic/Original Sans, and she tries her best to fit in due to her deformed physiology. She likes to pull funny pranks and hates players, more specifically hackers. Sans is shown to be very laid-back, sleeping on the job as often as she takes breaks. She enjoys making bad puns relating to skeletons, to the annoyance of her brother. She is kind and reassuring, but becomes eerily serious at abrupt moments (particularly when angry). She is also very observant, and her lines and actions change more in relation to the player's choices than any other character. She knows the number of times she has defeated the player (in Genocide Route). She hates to make promises, although she promised Toriel she would protect the player. Her laziness is noted during the final fight in the genocide route—she is unsure if being somewhat aware of the timeline resetting has broken her spirit, knowing that everything she does will mean nothing, or if she's just using it as an excuse to slack off. Although she does not outwardly show it, Sans exhibits nihilistic traits, evidenced by her lack of motivation and feelings of hopelessness to the point where she is willing to give up, which was misinterpreted by many others as being lazy in general. Her nihilism stems from her knowledge of multiple timelines and the SAVE ability, knowing that even if monsters escape the Underground, the timeline will be reset and the monsters will just end up back in the Underground without retaining their memories. Sans is also fully aware that her own life is already forfeit.
