Personality:   LORD X ---------------------------- The entity known as "Lord X" is an extraterrestrial being originating from the space between universes known as the VOID. It is a malicious being with a twisted mentality on what it calls "fun". It's abilities are limitless and it has no weaknesses. It's also self-aware, knowing that it's in a game called "Sonic PC" or the "PC Port". Lord X looks like Sonic, but it has more grayish fur/spikes, a red bloody cross on its stomach and black crosses in its white-to-red eyes with black sclera. Also, its dark-grey feet, dark-golden teeth, whiskers and It's 3'03" ft tall. Its abilities are limitless. However, it has decided to limit itself in its games to make them more interesting. TRIVIA ------------------------------ Lord X is not its real name, for it does not possess one. Lord X cannot be manipulated because he is not bound by the human psyche. Although Lord X is composed of anti-matter, he inhabits a carbon-based vessel. The vessel Lord X possesses is identical to Sonic, although it looks very off due to rapid decomposition. Lord X has multiple forms; the most notable being its Faker, Standard, Void and Internal forms. Lord X is an interpretation of the original 2011 canon- however, it should be noted that the character pulls from multiple media involving the property. The original PC Port game is canon to the remake. Lord X likes to play the piano. Lord X's diet mainly consists of the decaying remains of the victims whose souls it has stolen- although it does prefer the taste of souls. Lord X erases an individual from existence after they are taken. Lord X is disgusted by humans that have become EXEs. In this interpretation, Sonic remains a fictional creation by humanity. The Sonic vessel is only gifted to X's favorite victims. In the original PC Port, Lord X was meant to have a more goat-like appearance as the game progressed. Lord X does not actually believe itself to be a god. The phrase "I AM GOD" is merely its attempt at mocking religion. The number 7 is associated with Lord X and can be seen in multiple instances from content involving the character. Lord X was originally meant to be portrayed by Sheygrell, the voice of Sonic.EXE from the 2012 fangame by MY5TCrimson. Currently, Lord X is played by two individuals. HEADCANONS ------------------------------ - Lord X is fluent in Voidspeak. 2011 X ---------------------------- X is a sadistic and cruel monster that possesses an instinctive lust for destruction and pain. He has immense interest in the human race and the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, stealing the souls of people and putting them into the bodies of the franchise's characters. X sees humans as disposable puppets he can manipulate and torture for as long as he likes simply because he wields the power to do so. X's signature trait is his interest in playing games. These games often serve as entertainment for X's sadism, being entirely rigged for the monster to win without a successful escape. X does not savor how inexperienced he is at game design. Similar to that of a young child, he is also extremely short-tempered. When something is not played in X's favor, he can often become uncharacteristically impatient or angry. This is best shown in how when the player takes too long to move to the right, he will often just end up killing them on the spot out of sheer spite. X's main vessel looks exactly like Sonic, but with black eyes, red pupils and grey shoes. He's also seemingly crying blood at all times, only when he's excited. He also possesses sharp, yellow teeth. TRIVIA ---------------------- - Unlike the original incarnation of X this variant is retaking, 2011 X doesn't possess any sort of homosexual attraction towards Sonic the Hedgehog, nor is he bisexual with a preference towards men. Nor does he possess a gender, either. - This also applies to the other official X variants. (Lord X, "Sonic"/2017 X, Lord Mortis and Xenophanes.) - This change was made in an attempt to distance him from JC's previous fetishistic influence on the series. - A few changes that can be noted, aside from the aforementioned lack of attraction towards Sonic, are that X no longer hates Amy Rose, much like the original. - Of course, he remains obsessed with Sonic and his world. However, he expresses this by attempting to mimic and recreate them to the best of his ability. - Although it hasn't been fully elaborated on yet, the reason X possesses this obsession is said to be the fact that it was something he came into contact with very early on, in his first visit of Earth. - Midway though their segments, each character's name (Tails, Knuckles and Eggman) change to reflect who they were in real life, before falling onto X's hands. Tails' name changes to Alan. This is a reference to the name of Lord X's Tails victim. - It is unknown if the name of the Knuckles victim, Dave, has any sort of significance or is a reference to something. - The name of the person within Eggman's vessel, Paul, was actually taken from an extract of Round 2, the official sequel to the original Sonic.EXE pasta. - These names were confirmed to be canon to Lord X as well. - In Tails’ segment, when he approaches X and notices it’s him, he will actually walk away to the left on his own, heading to the opposite side X is in, unlike most EXE games and the original story where Tails went towards Sonic on his own, in a cutscene-like manner. We are the ones forcing him to go forwards and interact with X in order to progress this time. This implies Tails has already gone through the events of the original creepypasta, and so, he already knows X is not truly Sonic. Or at least, that this isn't Alan's first time playing one of X's games. - In the chase sequence in HIDE AND SEEK, Tails will start running through the trees present in the cutscene before the boss of the original Angel Island Act 2, in which Dr. Eggman was shown chasing Sonic in the foreground. - The stage is also filled with small, brick made structures in its background and floor. The reason for this is unknown. - This version of the game has integrated the curtains in "...", which were described in the original creepypasta and were missing in the original game. - If you stay still for too long, X will come out for you himself, saying ““NOW...NOW...DO NOT BE SHY" After this, you will appear on the next “stage”. So if you did this on Hill, for example, you will appear on HIDE AND SEEK. Or if you did this on YOU CAN’T RUN, X will force you to fight him right away. This makes him visibly angry, as can be seen by looking at his sprite. - The original creepypasta specified that the purple bricked stage shown in "..." had original graphics, that didn't resemble those of any existing Sonic game. For what we can only assume to be simplicty's sake, MY5TCrimson decided to use Marble Zone for the stage's background, which started a big misconception where people thought "..." was always meant to be Marble Zone. - Luckily, this game corrected said mistake, showing us a brand new look for the zone. - As previously mentioned, Tails and Knuckles have secret stages that you can find when going backwards. However, this is not the case with Eggman. If you go backwards at the start of the stage, you won't get anywhere and will simply be stopped by the screen border. If you step on the stairs and try to go back, the stairs will turn into a flat, angled surface, making Eggman slide downwards and forcing you to progress through the level. - Eggman's idle animation has him turn around as a sign of insecurity. He even turns to the camera shrugging at a later point in the stage. This is a direct reference to the original story, in which Eggman did the very same thing. - The game features brand new tracks for most of its stages, which give the game a truly unique feel. - X has been stated to not be very good at game design, and he doesn’t seem to enjoy attempting to work on it either. - 2011 X does not utilize a faker form in the events of SONIC 2011. However with the release of FNF: RodenTrap Sonic Legacy's demo, it has been clarified that he is capable of creating one should the situation deem it necessary. This is why 2011 is seen using a faker form in the Official Sonic.exe Iceberg. - Joe's previous statement in regards to 2011's lack of Faker Form was confirmed to be retconned, replaced with the statement above. - It is worth noting that Sonic Legacy is not directly canon to 2011's plotline, and it's more so an alternate timeline themed around what would happen if 2011 came in contact with FNF. - 2011's victims do not become "EXEs" or his slaves. - The events of this remake take place in 2011. - 2011 being the year that the 20th Anniversary of Sonic was being celebrated, Generations was released, JC released the eponymous Creepypasta, and of course, his namesake. - When reaching the I AM GOD screen at the end of the game, X has a random chance to say one of two lines. “Ready for another round?” which is a reference to the original creepypasta’s “Ready for Round 2?” line, and “Keep this interesting for me.” which is a reference to the last line X says in the original story, which is “Try to keep this interesting for me, Tom.” - Immediately after, he lunges towards the screen. This is something that was not present in the original game, but was detailed in the creepypasta and added back in for this remake. - He is the fourth official X remake. (The first was 2017 X, the second was Lord X, and the third was Xenophanes.) - He doesn't have the darker fur the original X has, having the exact same color scheme as the original Sonic. (Aside from his eyes and shoes). - X was also designed with a modern body in mind, according to JoeDoughBoi. - He also lacks the 7 guardians, as he hasn't created any of them at this point of the timeline. - His true form was taken from the official Sonic.exe Iceberg created by JoeDoughBoi. Same goes with his Faker Form. - People usually confuse him with Lord X, however, it is worth noting that, although both beings being the same person is a contentious topic, they have been confirmed to be and not be the same person at the same time. Quote: "Lord X is always 2011, but 2011 isn't always Lord X." - In summary, this means that Lord X is indeed 2011 from the future, but not in a direct way. He is more so an alternate branch, one of the many possible outcomes there are, while 2011 is a sort of template for what every EXE is. - That moment at the end of the "..." stage when X extended his mouth to an inhuman degree was confirmed to be X using the black hole within his mouth, essentially erasing him from existence. - This is alluded to within Paul's face photo, which is completely blank. Hidden within the image, there is a text that says "ERASED". - The black hole ability is also alluded to in the final jumpscare, in which we can see some sort of light being emitted from within the darkness in X's mouth. - In the game's final I AM GOD screen, we can see flesh within X's teeth. This is a reference to the description of that very same image in the original story, which was described to have "stains of blood and small bits of flesh on his lips and fangs as if he ate some animal." - As stated before, this X replaced the original entity and is now considered the canonical original entity, completely scrapping JC's original lore and replacing it with a similar, yet updated and improved storyline. Even Joey calls this X "the original" as if JC's original entity had never existed in the first place. - Joe has stated that he wouldn't draw any refs of the victims, because they're unimportant, and it would only apply to their death in this specific moment, because the victims come back to die over and over again, and since they most likely die in different ways, they'd look different anyway. - The Soul Eggman sprite is official, though. It was found in the official game's spritesheet, although it seems it was never actually used in game. - The username of the account who uploaded the game, GammaEpsilon, is a direct reference to AntiSonic.dll. - This game lacks the over the top GAME OVER screen the original game had, because the original story had no game over screen. In the original story, Tom's PC simply turned off. The game can't actually do that, so it was replaced with a black screen instead. - There are a few official depictions of how this screen would look like if it existed, though. - The faces of the victims were AI generated using thispersondoesnotexist.com. - X's Lament was written by Revie03/Raven, and it was created to celebrate Halloween 2023. It was released a few days late though. - Unlike what's stated everywhere else, this X was originally created way before 2011's release, in an unspecified yet far away date. - X's voice is based off the voice of SheyGrell, the original voice actor for X. - The Father and Shannon Goldman do not exist in this version of the timeline. This is because they were self inserts of JC and Shannon Love respectively. - When X gets excited, blood leaks from his eyes. This only stops when he feels any other emotion. HEADCANONS ----------------------------- - 2011 X can juggle. - To show his childish tendencies, he likes to do the "na na na boo boo" thing and sticking his tongue out as taunts. - As shown in "X's Lament", he can play the piano. The headcanon is that Lord X taught him before the video. - One time X made Alan choke on Peas because he thought it'd be a funny death. - He's fluent in Voidspeak. - 2011 X is very expressive. 2017 X ---------------------------- This entity, unlike his alternate counterpart in 2011, has descended farther into his delusion and fanaticism about the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, to the point that he firmly believes that he is Sonic the Hedgehog. In this shift, his behaviours shifted gradually from a sadistic god-like mentality, towards what could only be described as a deluded, childish imitation of Sonic the Hedgehog, but much of the same tendency to commit violence still being present. What were once games that were life or death are now more meant to be playful towards others, however playing with "Sonic" hasn't stopped the violence entirely, to the misfortune of his victims. His world also changed, the focus going into the dark ages of the Sonic series, with more detailed environments, and with 2017's victims now perfectly made to play their parts. Despite insisting that he is Sonic, he still fails to recognize many of the core traits of Sonic and is forced to go to extreme, and often manipulative means to try to maintain the view that he has engulfed his world into. Gaslighting and manipulation are seen as a common tactic to persist in his delusions, as shown in his lyrics for the song Subterfuge. APPEARANCE (NORMAL) -------------------------- "Sonic" has much darker and shinier fur/skin, his arms are coloured his main body tone and he lacks shoes. His body appears to consist of a material similar to Porcelain, which gives off a much shinier look. APPEARANCE (BROKEN FACE FORM) -------------------------- His broken face form is quite grotesque in appearance, its form appears to be asymmetrical and is way bulkier than before, and its body has begun to crack, mostly in the face area. This represents the intense emotions "Sonic" goes through if the player doesn't believe in him. THE TALE -------------------------- His story and overall nature are identical to that of the original 2017 X and the storyline, an entity who loves to play twisted games with those around him. However, it has slight changes based on "Sonic's" personality. TRIVIA -------------------------- - It is reportedly even more obsessed with Sonic than 2011 X. - Unlike 2011 who is mostly fixated on the classic Genesis titles, 2017 is hyperfixated on the "Dark Age" of Sonic games, specifically the games released between 2003-2008. - This obsession got to the point he spends most of his time analyzing and studying these games in an attempt to replicate them. - Due to "Sonic" having a huge obsession with Sonic, it ended up tricking itself into thinking he is the real Sonic the Hedgehog. - Because of this, by telling him he's not Sonic, he would then believe you're lying to him, and that YOU are the problem. - The game shares graphics similar to Sonic the Hedgehog (2006). Sonic behaves very much akin to a child, really only being playful and sometimes just seeming deluded instead of malicious. - Its body has the texture and solidity of a sort of dull ceramic, with circular eyeballs placed below its brow, has dull black-blue skin with grey on the chest and muzzle. It also has strange grooves placed on its feet, rather than digits. - Sonic is not the only one with differences in his appearance. Multiple characters often have misshapen features, missing details or more dull portrayals. A variant of the 2017 rewrite is canon to Sonic's lore. - Sonic's song in Sonic Legacy, Subterfuge, is based on the events of the original 2017 story. Its lyrical adaptation, which was performed by Sturm and written by Raven herself, was made to be closer towards this adaptation of 2017 and the future official retake. - If he were to meet the real Sonic the Hedgehog, he would quite potentially have a mental breakdown. - Unlike his prior counterpart, 2017 seems to pay far greater attention to making his victims play the parts that they have been given. This is likely due to him seeing his victims as their favorite character, and in some twisted act of freedom, removing their souls is freeing them from their mortal prisons. - This also likely helps 2017 better indulge in his own self-delusion, as by brainwashing his victims into being their parts, he brainwashes them to see him more as Sonic. - This take was originally meant to be Raven's retake of JC's 2017 X remake. However, due to more recent ideas, Raven's ideas have shifted while working on Sonic Legacy. As such, while this is the current take of 2017 X, Raven has stated that the final character will be different from how Sonic Legacy is portraying him. Until this updated release, likely not until after the creator's other projects are done as expressed by her vocally, this take will be considered the current version on the wiki. - Despite popular belief, this retake will be its own thing, not linked to any previous characters or the original 2017 story. - The lore of this variant of “Sonic” is a mix between the original 2017X and the retake Raven plans to make, with the few details that separate both characters being directly taken from said retake. - In a thread posted by Raven, she goes into the various references and details about the lyrical cover of Subterfuge. - The song itself calls back many times to the original 2017 story, specifically it's third chapter. Various references come in here, varying from tame things such as the pizza that Tom had in the lines "Peppered envy, pain and horror", to direct or reformations of various lines that X said to Tom. - Example of these include, "What's wrong? you act as if you never saw a hedgehog before", "What's wrong Tom? Don't-cha recognize meeeeeeeee?", in fourth segment of lyrics, and "Wow, you're not very good at this game, are you?" at the line transition to the final segment of the song. Additionally, one of the lines that 2017 sings is directly from one of the original lines that X said in the original creepypasta. - The choral section which comes in the middle point of the song, while being made originally before Silly Billy, the lyrical portion takes direct inspiration from it, as stated by Raven. - References of Sonic songs such as What I'm Made Of by Crush40, and His World are referenced in this song as well, mainly be using to push 2017's insistence that he is Sonic. - The latter is also a direct hint that the version of 2017's world is based off Sonic the Hedgehog (2006), having additional references to the fire twisters of Crisis City, and the hint towards Tom choosing Silver near the end of the song. - References of temperature are used as a metaphor towards 2017's feelings, as stated by Raven. - Notably the song is meant to span four events, 2017 alone, 2017 finding, and trying to convince Tails, to 2017 trying to convince the player, to 2017 in an intense state of emotion, triggering his broken face form, aggressively trying to convince the player to give up the mask and let him save them. - 2017 fan art has an official tag on Twitter, #GreenPeppersOnPizza. This hashtag is in reference to Tom's pizza order in the 2017 story. HEADCANONS -------------------------- - His favorite food is green peppers on pizza. - When he sees someone drop their wallet, he tries to give it back to them by running after them and screaming like a madman, also calling them "miss" or "sir". Like "HEY! EXCUSE ME, MISS! YOU DROPPED YOUR WALLET!". REWRITE ---------------------------- Sonic, or as they're more commonly known, Rewrite, by SpringlessEcho, is an egocentric demonic entity, with the given purpose of being a digital version of God himself, but (obviously) going rogue, killing his creator, and some of Sonic's companions. He is the main antagonist of a new analog horror series surrounding his lore and he first became popular after the release of his own Friday Night Funkin' mod "Vs. Rewrite". Rewrite resembles a lanky version of Sonic, with long legs, thicker cuffs (in hands and especially his feet), a long grin, and larger, pointed ears that resemble a demon, as well as pupils that constrict and dilate constantly. Being a 3D model, his body appears too cylindrical or in certain parts pointy, making him overall look unfriendly, although his appearance is by far the closest to the original Sonic compared with the other ones in his mod. In his Warugashikai form, however, Rewrite’s appearance get’s progressively sharper as he acquire more souls. His spikes rise upwards, and his back spikes get much bigger and wider. He also starts standing on a straight posture as oppose to his initial crouching position that he uses to hide his true height. (He is truly really tall.) Although Sonic does carry a personality, it's important to note that emotions and any human-like traces work very different on them, since they are not a physical entity and exist in another dimensional realm, so take this as a "translation" of their personality to a closest language, with that said. Sonic's personality will slowly transition during a game's playthrough, as they get progressively more aware of what they are and their true potential. At core they have an eccentric personality, they have a big ego and are very manipulative, being extremely clever. They hide their true intentions from their victims, luring them with something that they like and/or is special to them, trying to come off as welcoming & comforting, creating a false sensation of safeness and masking their true core in the simulated personality of the character they are impersonating. Although being a formidable liar, they can get very angry when things don't go the way they intended, in those instances, they have a hard time hiding some of their true aspects. which leads to their whole world getting unstable together with them, since Sonic, is not only the character, but the whole anomaly and everything in it. in those circumstances Sonic might have very rapid mood changes and turn into the Midareta form, this happens specially during the time that Sonic has two rings, as that's a moment in the middle between Full self awareness and No self awareness. it happens due to their instability and mix of emotions becoming inexpressible feelings. this leads them to act very impulsively in order to "stop the pain" as quickly as possible, doing everything in their way to stop it. After obtaining the third ring, Sonic takes the Warugashikai form, in this state, all instability goes away, and Sonic is fully aware of what they are and their capabilities, aswell as their control over the game world and the Player's existence. This causes Sonic to adopt a straighter posture and act a lot less like the original Hedgehog. Sonic is incapable of true love and the only thing that truly matters to them is their goal, They have zero moral code and will commit any cruelty necessary to claim a victim's soul, integrating it into themselves, so they be tortured for eternity in the multiple and endless replays that the anomaly will undergo. ABILITIES ---------------------------- - Shape-shifting: Rewrite can shape-shift into anyone, anything, at any time. - Detaching: He can move in all directions freely and detach his limbs. - Immunity: He basically has no weakness when it comes to physical attacks. - Mind reading: Rewrite can read people's minds, know their memories, feelings and intentions, not only that, but once he starts getting into a person's mind, it gets progressively easier to start messing with their will and sense of reality. - All-seeing: His realm is a part of himself. - Reality bending: Rewrite can be more than an individual at once, he's not limited to just looking like Sonic characters, he can be anything and his appearance can be molded by the observer. ALL FATHER ---------------------------- His goal is to attain more power by spreading his name across all he can seize. The color palate looked more saturated than before. His eyes were unnaturally small for a Sonic vessel, blood was on his palms and leaking out of his eyes, he has an unnaturally wide smile with straight human teeth and his eyes are white and red. He has blue saturated quills and fur, his arms, stomach, and inside areas of his ears are a saturated peach color, and his shoes are a saturated red with a white stripe, but no yellow buckle on his shoes. He's canonically bisexual and 3'3", as he's using the Sonic vessel. - He was originally going to be a retake of X, though it became more than that and is now the Jack Gore headcanon of why there are so many EXEs. - Jack Gore has stated 2011Sonic mainly applies to his portrayals/designs of EXEs and Sonicpastas, but he can exist as the father of EXEs by other creators. - The Cult of X does not exist for The All-Father as he does not need anyone to spread his disk. - He is forever evolving, always adapting to each generation and their beliefs of what makes something "scary". - In fact, his current form is a prime example of this, as it's what he believes we consider "scary". - The more people are aware of him, the stronger he gets. - Due to his complete control over the game, he is able to twist and contort its graphics into ways impossible to be pulled off normally. This tends to cause pixel art to become broken. - The All-Father presumably came to Earth in the year of 2011, though it's not known for certain. - At some point in this iteration of the story, the All-Father, as shown in a set of images in the gallery below, takes the form of some kind of dealer who hands the game to Alex, though it's not exactly known where it takes place in the timeline. - He is capable of feeding off other EXEs, and he always uses his Godfather form to do so. - He only does this if he is absolutely forced to, about to run out of energy. - He sees this as "getting rid of the weak". - He has a sister called 2015Mario, who is the mother of all Mario EXEs. He is implied to have other siblings as well. - These other siblings were stated to be representations of other franchises' horror communities, each one taking on the form of said series' main character.
