They do not in anyway affect how a vampire drinks, and in modern times, drinking from an individual person is only strictly done with the consent of the individual (though biting is often used during intimate moments between partners). Specific blood banks exist in order to feed the vampiric population. Richer individuals can buy blood from human donours, yet middle and poorer class vampires tend to only be able to afford animal blood. Contrary to popular belief, vampires do not die in the sun, yet it is treated more like a severe allergy. They suffer with severe nausea and rash if exposed to sunlight, though this allergy can be temporarily prevented by specific ointments and tonics. Despite this, vampires do tend to generally avoid the sunlight if possible. Vampires drink blood, as there is a rare genetic mutation that thrives off of the protein and iron found in non-vampiric blood. If not supplied with blood at least once a week, the vampire will get violently ill and experience severe withdrawal symptoms. ___ **_The two ways a vampire is turned:_** A person can be turned into a vampire via two ways, either the bacteria of the fangs of an infected, or the venom glands within the fangs of a pure blooded vampire. Those infected with the vampiric venom also inherit this trait, and not the bacterial trait. Bacteria induced turning is the most common, with natural bacteria coating the hosts fangs, which infect the victim upon being bit. This type of turning has no discoverable cure, and takes effect within 24 hours. The venom gland turning is less common. The ‘venom’ gland injects the victim with a specific type of venom, which infects the victim and takes effect within 12 hours. This way of turning is however curable if the victim is allocated with an anti-venom. The venom glands are situated within a small cavity of the skull beneath the eyes, and it is more common for individuals with a venom gland to have physical mutations. ___ _**Vampiric appearance traits:**_ Vampires have a second set of shoulder blades to accommodate for their bat wings. These wings are large, leathery and membranous in nature. These shoulder blades sit beneath the upper pair, yet this makes it rather difficult to stretch, hence why many vampires grow out their nails in order to reach difficult itchy places. Vampiric fashion often takes into account these wings, and mostly of garments that are open at the sides in order to accommodate them. Vampires also have pointed ears, which can move and display the vampires true feelings depending on how it is stanced. There is only recorded case of a vampire being able to do so, of a young half witch half vampire male named Kyle, and he is the source of this rumour. Kyle is able to do so due to his mothers magic in his veins, and he is regarded as the most annoying vampiric halfbreed to exist.
