Before you freak ; No, I’m not leaving janitor- but I am here to give my 2 cents. Please read.

Whats Happening?

As you all may know, for the past week or so, Janitor as a website and as a discord server has been in chaos, following the leaving of one of the moderators; pushing their already small team from 3 to 2. Janitor content creators are leaving the site left and right, and instead of taking accountability, our dearly detested dev, Shep, has tucked tail and gone into hiding.

Its… A mess, to say the least. Allegations flying left and right, so many losses of so many great creators, and an overall wave of panic and discontent amongst users. As someone who’s mutuals with 2 former janitor mods, after hearing the horror stories of how users treated them, im not surprised that this website is crumbling so rapidly. Moderators, people who work often on short notice, to keep this site the way it is, people who have their own lives and souls, endure ceaseless harassment, threats and intimidation from users, who abuse the power of anonymity to act like children.

And our beloved devs? They’ve failed to protect not only them, but us as users and creators as well.

This site is run by someone who cares more about protecting their own hide than protecting the people who create its numbers. That being said, my 2 cents are this:

• Remain aware of the person behind the screen. And no, I don’t mean Shep. By this, I mean the creators on this site. Too many people use this place as an excuse to be cruel, harass people, and diminish the hard work often put into this place. We are all people. It takes nothing to be kind.

• Keep your heads up; I know these are trying time, my lovelies, but there is always greener pastures. Keep in mind that this place is not everything- theres a world out there that is so beautiful, and in this digital age, we tend to forget that.

• Respect boundaries. Human decency and common sense have become such a limited resource in this day and age, and its… Disheartening. As long as you do YOUR part, we can atleast keep a modicum of joy in this rapidly deteriorating environment.

Whats Changing On This Page?

Going forward, this page is getting a WHOLE new revamp. New theme, new graphics, new sona… It’ll be a lot of changes, a lot of different things, and this- a no tolerance policy.

Im frankly disappointed to say I have to often spoon feed people into thinking for themselves, or just respecting my basic boundaries. I’ve been lenient, but going forward, I’m not holding back on ensuring my comfort. If you leave a comment that annoys me, makes me uncomfortable, or gives me weird fetish vibes? I will delete it. Persist on my other bots? You’ll be blocked.
