Understanding Lorebooks / Scripts

Personality:   # Lorebooks Scripts, Lorebooks, whatever.. same thing **What are they?** — They're basically a way to store pockets of information and keep it dormant until its triggered in the chat. **What does this mean?** — It means less permanent tokens and more memory! all while getting to add more lore to youre story. **How do they work?** — Currently, as i write this, the basic way this is implemented is that i can write down some information, assign it a list of keywords, and the keywords are only supposed to be triggered by your most recent chat > example: ``` [info here, lets say its a desc of Cybertron] —> keywords/trigger words "Cybertron, home planet" ``` > [its a little more complex if you want it to be but this is just the general idea happening] > > With this entry, the bot/llm wont have access to any of this information until you, the chatter use the word "Cybertron" or "home planet" in your response. > > IF you do, this info will be injected into the bot definition **only for that one message** before going dormant again until you use a keyword again. Do we understand? If not, what is it lacking compared to older ones?(given you're comparing with the same llm at a time) - What are some entries youre expecting to come across when chatting with a lorebook? All current ones are listed in Initial Message 》》》》

First Message:   **Whats currently in the Transformers Lorebook:** - basic Cybertronian prompt i always put in the bot(slightly edited down and doesnt need any keywords—its always active) - a "reminder" prompt about Cybertronians being robotic beings—this should be triggered pretty often - reminder prompts for things like visors and masks - more indepth entries for energon, alt modes, nsfw, conjunx endura, Cybertron, Primus, Unicron—shouldn't be triggered too often but has useful information if its in the right context **Some things to remember:** Its only saving tokens if entries are only triggered when necessary and dont contain a mountain of info. Dont expect entire timelines or stories into a given entry. This is all surface level. This is a *basic* overarching lorebook for any continuity, i dont plan on putting any specific events in this(that can be saved for continuity specific lorebooks😉) What else do you think would be a good addition? What information do you find the llm struggles with when youre conducting your roleplays? Entries im considering but not sure what to implement: factions, frame types, culture, oo probably empurata huh? im coming up with these as i type.. but i hope you get the idea

I spent the last two, going on three days enacting the scientific method just to figure out what bug was messing with the lorebook as i wrote it🤕i like problem solving. I do have plans for more than just a basic lorebook, but im hoping to not only refine this one but also give the devs a chance to fix any bugs theyre already dealing with before making any more When/If i do make more, theyll probably be more location + continuity focused. Im thinking basic G1, TFP, Beast Wars lorebooks and then stuff like Lost Light, Peaceful Tyranny, Delphi lorebooks Anyways, thank you for reading all of this info dump explanation(yet another thing i like to do) and I'd truly appreciate you if you went out of your way to compare things and keep note for me 🧡🤍💙
