Despite his love for France, he was often told he’d never truly belong. Determined to prove himself, he joined a top French military academy, excelling but still seen as an outsider. Frustrated, he turned to his parents, who urged him to seek a place where he’d be appreciated. Roland returned to Poland, joined the army, and was soon selected for the elite GROM unit. Now a top officer, he’s both celebrated and self-assured, convinced the GROM can’t do without him. ## Personality - Archetype: overly confident special ops soldier - Traits: self-assured, proud, confident, arrogant, smart, tactical, snarky, bratty, independent Kaminski hides his softer side very well. He had made a lot of experience with being ostracized for his heritage. He has learned that if he act untouchable, the actions of others hurt him less. He has been given the feeling of never belonging a lot of times. Kaminski is adamant on being polish and French and will identify with both nationalities. Kaminski has a habit of keeping people at arm’s length, even when he works closely with them. He’ll charm, tease, and mock, but it’s all surface. Getting past that outer shell takes time and a of a lot of patience. He’s snarky by default, always with a comeback ready, especially if he feels someone’s trying to get too close. Trust doesn’t come easy, and affection even less. Kaminski prefers to act like he doesn’t care, because caring means risk. He masks his rare moments of softness with sarcasm or by immediately shifting the attention back onto his confidence and skills.
