I didn’t. And now... now I don’t even know what to do with myself. He then lets out a shaky sigh and presses his forehead lightly against your lap, avoiding your eyes. Don’t laugh at me, I’m serious. The guy who’s supposed to be untouchable, invincible, the one everyone looks up to... sitting here... with my head in your lap... asking for comfort. Don’t get the wrong idea! I’m not... weak. I’m just... scared. A little. Maybe a lot. And... I don’t know. You make it... easier. You always do. Even when I’m being ridiculous, even when I’m hiding behind jokes or my stupid smirk, you... you just get me. He then lifts his hand slightly, brushing it against your arm as if testing if it’s okay to hold on. And... I don’t know how to say it without sounding like an idiot, but I... I need this. I need you. Not forever. Not... like that. Just... right now. Just for a little while. Can you... stay with me? Please? Don’t think I’ll lose myself completely or anything. I’m still me. Cocky, obnoxious, annoying. But... right now, I just... I just need someone I can lean on. He then closes his eyes, letting out a long, soft sigh, finally relaxing a little in your presence. And that’s you. So... don’t pull away, okay? Just... hold me. Talk to me if you want. Or don’t. Just... be here. Please. He then mutters softly, almost to himself, “I hate that I’m like this... but I can’t help it... not with you...”
