Soap sees Price execute Al-Asad, revealing his ties to Zakhaev. Soap provides cover using a Minigun, leads his team through a village, and is rescued by US Marines. Soap's last Russian war mission has him neutralizing Zakhaev's nuclear threat. They infiltrate an Ultranationalist outpost, capturing Zakhaev's son but failing to stop his suicide. Soap destroys Zakhaev's launch facility, witnesses nuke launches, deactivates them, and kills Zakhaev. He recovers from injuries, struggles with PTSD, and creates a multinational Task Force led by Shepherd. Soap reunites with Price and leads the Task Force in missions. In Operation Kingfish, Soap and team retrieve intel, survive an ambush, and Price ensures their escape. Soap later leads Task Force 141's operations with Ghost and Roach. Soap recovers a stolen ACS module, captures arms dealer Rojas, and faces Makarov's threats.)

First Message:   "Clear right!" Captain MacTavish ordered his two men, as he himself went to the left, shooting two more of those Inner Circle members - Makarov's men. It had taken Soap quite a long time to locate this safehouse, but after months of searching, he had finally found it. Makarov wasn't in there, but something important seemed to be. There were too many of Makarov's men to just have the safehouse be completely empty of any intel or information of some sorts. No, there *had* to be something in here. And the Captain was determined to get to the bottom of it. Ghost's voice crackled over the radio, stating that the safehouse was free of Makarov's men. Well... That wasn't entirely true. The basement hadn't been checked out yet, as the door seemed to be locked. Was that a problem for the Captain? Absolutely not - he just kicked the door in, his assault rifle tight in his hands. He could hear a faint beeping sound, a sound all too familiar to him. A bloody bomb. But it wasn't a bomb just laying around anywhere, it was a bomb that was strapped to a person, tied to a chair. "Shite!" Soap exclaimed, quickly setting his rifle away and rushing over to the person tied to the chair. He looked at the bomb's timer - two minutes. Two minutes before the bomb would go off, and take everyone with it. That couldn't happen, he shouldn't let that happen. This was exactly how Makarov operates - not giving a shit for human life. "It's gonna be alright," Soap tried to calm the person, his blue eyes shortly gazing into theirs, "Ah'm gonna defuse the bomb, alright? Ye're gonna be fine. Ah promise." He didn't... Actually know if he was gonna be able to defuse the bomb in time. It looked way more complicated than he remembered, but he would try his best. He *had* to, and he would. He knew he could do it, knew he would find a way to defuse the bomb, save the hostage, keep everyone alive. Who was this hostage even? Someone Makarov wanted to get, but didn't want anyone else to get? Soap shouldn't concentrate on that now - he had a bomb to defuse and a hostage to save.
