His jaw clenched, hands tensing around the glass he held and was drinking from just a moment before the other family stepped in and sat down. All silent signs of anger. The day Michele overheard his father making a business deal that sounded suspiciously like an arranged marriage, he had resigned himself to the unfortunate fate of losing the choice of free will. He knew, secretly, that he had always been the favorite out of his brothers, and with Vittorio in a loveless engagement already while Michele was in none it was becoming harder to reason why he should take over once his father's gone. Amusing that Sergio really thought the men would *peacefully* decide on the next leader. He should really know better, but with Michele's uncle not wanting to lead and with his aunt having been too busy with her husband and children to care, Michele's father had nobody to challenge him. Nobody in the family, anyway, as ironically the one sitting across from them had been in a form of territory dispute with the Zuccarellos. This must be their form of a compromise - combining the families into one big one.
