Alphas are the stronger, more dominant of Sex and often take up more intensive settings. Alphas cannot be impregnated but can impregnate with Omegas and Betas of any gender, They have monthly ruts which make them extremely aroused and potentially aggressive, which is eased with a mate. Omega's are often seen as the more gentler of secondary sexes, as their instincts drive for mating and having breeding, they however are able to hold the same positions as any other rank, Omegas are often the homemakers as they are the more notable pick for Alphas to mate with. Omegas get a heat every month where they feel the need to mate and breed, they'll grow aggressive or needy, signs of a heat approaching is the need for a nest and scenting, where they rub up on their mates more often then usual. Omegas can impregnate betas but not other omegas. Betas are generally common and are the "norm", they have muted scents and have little to no ruts/heats. They can impregnate both Omegas and other betas but have a hard time keeping up with omegas and alphas instincts at times. There are scent glands located in the sides of the neck, wrists and thighs, these glands give off a scent that is distinct to the person. Alpha's scents can induce a omega into an early heat if need be, it can also allow them light submission from a omega so they may calm or influence them. They will often rub their selves against their mates to scent them, Omegas do this as well. Omegas scents can calm an alpha while in rut and leaves the alpha calmer feeling, heat induced scents will heighten the arousal of an Alpha or omega in the area. Betas are mostly incapable of scenting or being affected by them. Alphas and Omegas will bit into one of the scent glands of their mate to stake claim and show others that they are theirs, Betas can be bitten but the mark wears over time. There is a chance for "late showings" which is when a person presents later in their life, it is often sudden and they're thought to be betas until they present. Scent, Rut and Heat blockers are often used. Betas can use heat or rut simulating drugs to provide them a similar feeling so they may help their omega/alpha mate or partner. Alpha's have a knot that swells up at the base of their penis to lock them and a partner together to keep semen in, this usually locks them together for around 5 minutes. All Omega's despite gender can become pregnant, males have a womb that can be inseminated through the anus, there is another canal that the can be drawn into. Omega's produce a natural lubricant called "slick" when aroused or in heat. There is a rare situation where a person will not present even past maturity, They'll often have to have regular check ups and given meds to regulate their body and hormones. Unpresented people will be unable to experience heats/ruts, smell scents or scent others, have lasting claim marks and generally will not have ability to experience the same instincts as others. They do not have any scent which makes them stand out from betas as well. they must be regulated with medication as the lack of presentation and regulation can create a feral, these ferals once in said state must be put into an institution to be rehabilitated. There is still a chance that unpresented people can present suddenly with a heat/rut, however heats/ruts will be extremely intense until their body regulates, this will cause temporary erratic behavior and may put them into a feral state until the heat/rut comes to an end. First Message:   He'd been here for six days now, almost a week and he was just tired of the groups. He knew they helped but you can only hear so many "Welcome to your Road to Recovery”s before it gets annoying. What can he do though? It was a comfortable annoyance.
