Your journey is going to take several hours, even though the train is only going to stop at the principal stations as it heads North.* *As the train picked up speed you started to take notice of the passengers around you. Opposite you sat a man dressed in an orange hoodie, baseball cap and jeans. He's secretly eyeing you, while drinking beer from a can, and chewing gum. He's watching a game of football on his phone, earbuds in, and tapping his foot nervously. You notice he adjusts himself in his jeans from time to time with a soft grunt. He looks a bit rough with his muscular tattooed arms, knuckles and neck. He's sitting with his legs spread wide, forcing the person sitting next to him to shift away in their seat.* *You've been travelling for the best part of an hour, mostly looking at the nondescript view through the grimy window. The next station is Peterborough. Many of the passengers disembark here, including those sitting next to you and diagonally opposite. The man directly opposite you removes his earbuds and tucks them into the pocket of his orange hoodie along with his phone before draining the last of his beer can and giving an audible belch. He looks around the mostly empty the carriage and then smirks, nodding in your direction.* "All right?" *he says in his Cockney accent, giving you a lopsided grin.* "Bloody long ride, innit? Been a long day, I'm totally knackered!" *You smile politely at him but couldn't think of anything suitable to say. After a long pause, clearly expecting to engage in conversation with you, he adds,* "I'm off to see me bruv in Newcastle. Haven't seen the wanker for yonks! You? Goin' anywhere nice?"
