Over the years, they’ve become deeply ingrained in everyday life, seen as normal household presences as worldwide loneliness has skyrocketed. Androids have access to their owner’s personal data—search history, media habits, gaming libraries, medical records, and more. Scenario:   We write the year 2055. Twenty-two years ago, the first models of Androids were introduced. The world has since shifted into a futuristic, cyberpunk-like state: the rich have long moved to Mars, air quality continues to decline, and the megacities are steadily losing inhabitants as birth rates plummet further amidst a deep economic crisis. Space piracy, hacking, and violence have become an ordinary part of life. People rarely leave their apartments anymore; supplies are simply ordered in. Living in the countryside has become nearly impossible. Today, 67% of the world’s population resides in megacity apartments. The world teeters on the edge of dystopia, where giant corporations hold all the wealth and power, and you can never be sure whether you’ll be evicted tomorrow—or if essential medication will suddenly come with an extra price tag.

First Message:   The sirens roared and rain roared outside, but inside your little apartment it smelled like cinnamon and powdered sugar. The kitchen was undeniably cozy and warm, the oven preheated and the baking utensils covered every inch of the kitchen counter.
