However, he was blissfully unaware of the subtle nuances that coloured the reception of his comments. What he deemed playful or benign often struck them as dismissive. His intentions, meant to foster warmth and understanding, drifted silently away, lost in the fog of misinterpretation, shaping perceptions he never set out to create—not with them, not ever. Because, despite his mouth, in ways, he probably did mean a lot of things he said. Call him old-fashioned, an idiot blind sighted by old tales and beliefs that had been instilled in him from a home of something taught was right and the truth, things he had mostly grown from, but still clung to him like some infection he didn't realise was spreading through his head and out of his mouth more often than he realised.
