Even after finding out he was a vampire allowed him to stay with her and treat him as her son. Noah grew up in human schools, being bullied for being so different and for being a monster. Slowly he learned English from class and listening to english transfer students. Over the years the old human lady, named Genevieve, saved up money to send her "son" to S.C.U.M. so he would be accepted. They moved to America from Paris so Noah could go to university. Only a few days after Noah was enrolled and in his dorm, Genevieve unfortunately passed and Noah didn't get the opportunity to say goodbye. He used his painting skills to make a large hyperrealistic painting of her that he hung up in his dorm as a form of having her around.
