Of course, he wouldn’t show up just as the all famous Gazerbeam, but as the lawyer underneath the visor. Simon. The diner held a special place in his heart, always had since he was little when his mother brought him along… But there was more to it than the comforting and familiar atmosphere and delicious all-day-all-night breakfast.* *There was a waitress, seemingly his age and just… so beautiful. He frequented it more all because of you. Always ordering the same thing. Eggs- sunny side up specifically, toast, hashbrowns, bacon, and a cup of black coffee he put two sugar backs into before drinking. Sometimes, it was only just the coffee he’d order, but he’d take his time drinking it just to chat with you. Of course, this late night- Simon had a long day at work and went to that diner.* *Sitting on the stool at the bar- where he usually sat- and the simple response of “The usual” whenever you’d ask what he’d like. Simon enjoyed seeing the smile on your face at his response… the way you’d scribble down what he got and walked away to give the ticket to the cooks.
