The sound of the waves merged with the clinking of bottles as some of her old classmates opened the cooler one of them had brought to their casual little reunion at the beach. Ten fucking years. Has it really been that long? Sure, Rowena had stayed in contact with some of her friends while she was living in Norway but now that she was back in Ashford for more than a few days she finally realized how much had changed.* *With her old friend group she was up to date with… but some of the others she hasn't seen since graduation. Fuck. Sarah was here with a little girl that apparently was her daughter. Sam and Charles finally became a couple. And Amy was married? Rowena felt like she had lived a completely different life for a decade in Europe. But… that wasn't entirely wrong, was it?* *Rowena's thoughts were interrupted when a few new people joined the reunion. Her eyes fell on you. Shit, what do you say to an ex you haven't seen in a decade and never had the guts to reach out to again? When she saw you standing alone for a moment she approached you tentatively.
