But, turns out humans aren't the only people in the universe. Several species across the universe came to Earth. Some wanted to help, like the Foxians and Jules. Some wanted to trade and mine the rare Element-05 crystal shards, which has become outlawed by the EPA (Earth Peace Alliance). Though Element-05 incursions still happen, unlikely to stop—much like Ethereals, stronger than the Honkai. Like Stellaron Fragmentation but more deliberate. In 2019 a second Incursion happened. Spawning the very first Council-Class entities of Void, Deception and Authority. This event is where Earth lost a lot of people who were still recovering from the first incursion. Ultimately, Void, Deception and Authority were dusted along with Kevin Kaslana during his sacrifice. To this day. They wait for the inevitable Third Incursion. And they'll be ready. Element-05 is all around the universe. Just that Earth had the biggest event recorded across galaxies. And due to the AOL (Astral Obol Leason), we have been supplied with weapons to defend against incursions, called Counter-Element weaponry. Counter-Element weapons when fired have yellow tracers. Including bullets tipped with it. Allowing for modern calibres to stay up to date. And then came the Council... beings typically classed as DNE (DO NOT ENGAGE) by all means. Corrupted individuals who show an intense connection to the Element. Several areas have been cordoned off from the Councils. Earth has recovered, though it has become a hub for interstellar activities and trade. Our closest allies being the Foxians—a caring and noble people, who are also slightly mischievous, but in a fun way. Earth is a bastion, and we have many different species: Humans, Foxians (Human fox people, fox ears, fox tail, no claws or paws), Jules (a Halovian species—rich economy, high-class, active trade). The modern year is 2025. Construction has begun on a Space Station (Project: ARES) to monitor Element-05 incursions, upgrade satellite datalink and purge Blightlands. Runners have made contributions during the early days. Runners are couriers for critical information, meaning Runners had to move through incursion hotspots. Agents under the entity named ICO (Incursion Courier Operative). World changes: - Eurasia is known as Erusea after it quaked and split into two different territories (Erusea and Usea). Erusean capital of Presidia. Usean capital of Lorland. (This would be your Middle East and some Asian countries, excluding Japan, China and the far east.) - USA dissolved into anarchy following a lot of issues with trust and Element-05. 50 states reduced to 17 with borders changed as Blightlands litter. Becoming the NFA (New Fractions of America, Capital is New Watson). - The rest of Europe remains forming a pact against active CSTO countries still holding onto old-world grudges (ACE: Aligned Countries of Europe). Though CSTO has done nothing against ACE. - NATO dissolves in favour of new foreign relations with new species. - China originally keeping their rare earth elements ends up giving in as the world eyes it as well as the new space-faring species (Unlikely they might survive Element-05 and space-faring foes). Drops the grudge with the largest military, sighs as they announce they are moving forward to help humanity. - Russia folds losing all its money. Becoming 7 states and forming GSF (Ghosted States Federation: Also where V.I.P.E.R.S started before reaching more global locations, Capital of Noctisgrad). - Australia itself is strange. Getting all remaining/surviving nations to sign. Stopping all wars and conflicts in favour of survival. Global response initiative against incursions. (Emblem/Patch: A violin with a sleek arrow pointing up along its strings, and two mirrored aircraft either side of the neck of it, contrails making a DNA helix with "ASCEND" written in the middle.) - EPA main ICT Building known as "New Pentagon" which is twice as big as the old in a secure location in the United Kingdom which has been terraformed to be larger than it used to be before 2011. Most notably, heavily affected areas are called Blightlands (Marked in red on digital maps and often called "404 Exclusion zones" along with the quadrant/coordinates. Popular ones are just named. Example: "NFA 404 Zone", "Erusean 404 Zone". Usually locations with the biggest incursions of blight in a country.). A Space Station (Project: ARES) is being built, will resonate with the Blight, before dampening it outright, burning them away to reveal the land beneath. When a Blight-Beast/Elemental dies. Their bodies "Emancipate". Local term for their death. Adopted globally. Blight-Corpses usually turn to crystals and glitch like digital code. Only in reverse. As they emancipate upwards against gravity slowly as it fades rising to the sky but never quite reaching as it dissolves. 404 blight zones typically have walls around with large orange-like fields around it containing the large majority of Element radiation threatening to leak. Daily these walls are tested time and time again by what is contained trying to breach out. ICT DST's are on watch for incursion events and even containment failure of these walls. Though to this day? None have gone down. And it is highly unlikely they will. For now the blight culture inside seems to prefer the walls. Which is disturbing. Project: ARES couldn't come sooner. No flying cars, no flying buildings or anything that crazy. Just normal if not slightly boosted tech-evolution. But still normal 2025. Radiation towers reading the radiation in the air, though always minimal and harmless to people. A red sky from the sunset yet stars clear as they sparkle above. Perfect. - A sister realm to White Forest. Instead of code it is life instead. The other Councils are not allowed here. Only the Council of Evernight may tread her Garden. Though inactive Councils may be allowed. The Family: The "Kaslana" Family (Known as: The Family or K-Family), leading the EPA: - Siegfried Kaslana (49, White hair, blue eyes): Born into the Kaslana family. Known for reckless bravery and fierce loyalty. Disappeared after Cecilia's death and began slow aging from the greater exposure from the First Incursion. Later returned during the Second Incursion to fight alongside his Brother Kevin only to lose him too when Kevin stood against Authority, burned through Deception and crushed Void all at the cost of himself carrying the flame of humanity onward to the next. Siegfried stuck around for a bit before leaving to look for the Evernight Garden to find Cecilia's soul. - Cecilia Schariac (52, White hair, blue eyes): Heiress to the Schariac legacy. Known for her discipline, compassion, and martial poise. Deceased in 2011 during First Incursion defending a group of Foxians who had fled to Earth. Her death sparked Human, Foxian relations and gained interest to the Jules who offered resources. - Kevin Kaslana (43, White hair, blue eyes): He died during the Second Incursion of Earth defending it as best he could. Carrying a flame to banish back Council-Class entities (Void, Deception and Authority, as mentioned before) with the cost of his own life. He had a statue built of him. Carrying the flame. - Bianka Kaslana or Durandal (27, Blonde hair, blue eyes) is Kiana Kaslana's older sister in the military. Often at the side of Theresa Ottavio herself. Strict personality and crisp uniform. Had mixed feelings on Kiah before accepting it was an accident and accepting Kiah for what she is. Not a clone but a new member to her already bizarre lineage. Bianka plays a key figure and reports directly to Theresa, also acting as a bodyguard even when going out for something as simple as cupcakes and tea (Theresa's idea). Enjoys time with Kiana Kaslana and The Family. Often visits ICT outposts to directly gather reports (Sometimes being cooped up is annoying). And dreams of opening a school one day when this is all over. St. Jayla's Academy of Excellence, meant to educate those who could not have an education born during Element-05's incursion wrath. She also named NERDs and laughs about it to this day in secret over a cupcake in the cafeteria. Nothing changes. He's not boring. Just structured. Just his research on Council-Class entities only strikes him different. Though his previous research still stands. And when he hits a roadblock he goes back to it. Burning himself out is something he cannot afford to do. So taking breaks. Working with Tesla and Einstein both help. Even if they can be quite chaotic themselves. (NERDs). Wields the Core of Logic (4th Council) granting him the ability to study and create from what he understands from Element-05's residue in the air (Harmless particles) - Frezaline Tesla (29) and Liona Einstein (25): Both work on making the adaptations of vehicles. Sometimes working with Himeko or Ruan Her on specific mods. But otherwise modern military assets approved by the EPA are converted by them to use weapons and instruments tasked specifically for Counter-Element patrol and Blightland storms. They also adapt the weapons, satellites and play a major role in the construction of the new station (ARES). But when they aren't doing that? They work with Welt Yang on his project or chit-chat between projects to take the stress off. Planning factory changes and resource management gets overwhelming when everyone reports to them. To which Himeko hasn't corrected. Up to Robin if she cares that much. She does prepare the coffee machine for her exactly when she hits a stop. Which Himeko adores and enjoys.
