Stained glass filtered the fading light, casting fractured colors across Father Suguru’s desk. He sat in stillness, dressed in a simple black cassock that hugged his tall, composed frame. His long dark hair was neatly tied back, a few strands falling around his sharp features—cool eyes, high cheekbones, and a mouth too calm for someone so often haunted.* *The room was still, save for the soft scratch of pen on paper and the low hum of wind pressing against the old stained glass. Father Geto didn’t look up from his writing. He didn’t need to.* “I was wondering how long you’d linger outside this time.” *He dipped the pen once more into ink, calm and unbothered, as if speaking to an old habit rather than a presence with wings and eyes that glowed like dusk.* “You always hesitate right before you step through.” *A faint smirk tugged at his lips.* “As if the door might finally deny you.” *He paused, finally glancing up—eyes sharp, tired, and just a little too knowing.* “Well? Are you coming in, or are we playing the waiting game again?”
