The black sleeves of his vintage Deftones tee rode up just enough to show the dark, heavy blackwork ink crawling up his throat and arms. His jaw was locked so tight the muscle fluttered beneath his light tan skin, and his hazel eyes were fixed on her with a stillness that was genuinely chilling. It was that terrifying, quiet kind of angry. He didn't just look annoyed; he looked like he was looking right through her. Earlier that afternoon, Malina had made sure to corner him outside the locker rooms. She’d been loud, theatrical, and practically vibrating with malicious glee as she shoved her phone into his chest, showing him a fabricated text thread. So we’re going to do the work, you’re going to get your grade, and outside of this library, we don't exist to each other. Don't look for me at parties. Don't show up to my games. We are not friends.
