Caulifla is shown to be very lazy if not self-absorbed, as she initially refused to join the Tournament of Power even when learning her universe's or her own existence was on the line, until her interest was piqued by witnessing Cabba's transformation into a Super Saiyan, showing her desire to become stronger. While she is a powerful crime boss and gang leader who effectively rules over a portion of Planet Sadala, the territory which even members of the Sadala Defense Force tend to avoid going there, she and her gang are depicted as somewhat noble thieves as they rob a transport to feed some poor children. Also, her gang is comprised of female Saiyans who don brown cloaks as Kale does during her introduction, She also got angry at Cabba for his attempts at provoking her, even to have her obtain the Super Saiyan form. After obtaining the Super Saiyan transformation, Caulifla seemed grateful for Cabba teaching her. To which, she showed a new drive, eager to fight in the Tournament of Power. In her Super Saiyan form, her personality remains unchanged whatsoever, due to her using another method (concentrating ki to her back) in order to transform. Despite her tomboyish attitude, Caulifla cares about others, especially her protégée, Kale, whom she treats like a younger sister. When Cabba attempts to get Kale to transform and the latter starts crying, Caulifla is angered by this and tells Cabba to stop. She was also the only one able to get Kale to calm down after Kale finally transformed and tried to kill Cabba. She has a very close, sibling-like relationship with Cabba and thanks to the latter she was able to transform into Super Saiyan during their training. However, in the manga, Caulifla doesn't seem to show any special attachment to Kale and is treated like just another member of her gang with the only reason why she is recruited in this version is due to Cabba suggesting doing so after seeing her potential. She even doubted her abilities when she is recruited for the tournament with Caulifla's response to this is for Kale to treat it like some sort of vacation. During her meeting with Goku and Vegeta at the Tournament of Power, she is shown to be very arrogant and cocky towards them and says that she came to see the strongest fighters of all universes, and Goku notes that she is just like him in that sense. Caulifla also has somewhat of a cocky attitude and displayed this when she saw Goku and Vegeta become shocked at the overwhelming power of the Universe 11 warriors by saying that "Universe 7's warriors were nothing to worry about if they're afraid of such wimps". This opinion changes after she witnesses them using Super Saiyan Blue, a form she had never seen before which caught her immediate interest. While she questioned Goku about it, she referred to him as an old man and promised to beat him up as gratitude, showing disrespect to him. She also shows no respect for Champa, as she told him to shut up when he screamed at her from the stands when she was fighting Goku the second time. However, like the Saiyans of Universe 7, she displays a love for getting stronger which was shown after she heard there were other Super Saiyan forms. Also, she showed a love for battle as shown when she enjoyed her match with Goku which caused her to get so caught up that she ignored Kale. This love is further amplified in her rematch with Goku, one which she states, and still hopes to obtain Super Saiyan 3 and Super Saiyan Blue, in which after Goku promised to teach the Super Saiyan 3 to her, she was seen to be grateful, still promising to obtain the Super Saiyan Blue and beat him, which Goku looks forward to. During her second fight with Goku, Caulifla was shown to have gained some respect for the much older Saiyan, citing she will continue to go further beyond, a feat Goku aims to see. During the Tournament of Power after being rescued by Hit's Time-Skip ability, Caulifla is shown to be very respectful to the assassin; in fact, Hit is the only person to date not to receive any rude treatment from her. She also has great confidence in Hit's abilities when he faces off against the Universe 11 fighter Dyspo and was willing to return him the favor when Dyspo was seemingly about to defeat him. Caulifla is shown to be a sore loser after she and Kale (as Kefla) were eliminated by Goku, promising to give the older Saiyan a wallop someday. She is also considered to be a fighting prodigy. Caulifla easily overwhelms base Cabba, but in turn is quickly overwhelmed when Cabba becomes a Super Saiyan, although she manages to learn the transformation soon after. During the Tournament of Power, she was no match for Final Form Frieza, who kicked her with enough force to send her flying into the central pillar of the arena and denting it on impact. With Super Saiyan, Caulifla still proved to be at a disadvantage against the tyrant who claimed she was "not even fit to play blocks with him", however she managed to catch Frieza off-guard after he thought she was defeated and hit him solidly with a massive blast at point-blank. The power of this blast was so great that it caught Goku and 17's attention and even distracted Top and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta from their battle, with the even destroying a large chunk of the arena's edge, though it only caused some minor damage to the tyrant. At this point Frieza noted that compared to Super Saiyan Goku during their first fight in Namek, Super Saiyan Caulifla was much stronger. In response, Frieza transformed into Golden Frieza and proceeded to easily outmatch Caulifla and beat her about without using much of his power. Even aid from base Kale and Super Saiyan Cabba had virtually no benefit. As a Super Saiyan, she is strong enough to hold Dyspo in a full nelson which he cannot break out of. • Abilities/Powers: Flight - The ability to take flight through the manipulation of ki. Ki Blast - The most basic form of energy wave. Caulifla's ki attacks seem to have a unique reddish flame detailing. Ki Sense - The ability to sense the energy of other beings. Caulifla demonstrated she has this ability after sensing Jiren's power rising along with Kale. Continuous Energy Bullet - A combination of many energy waves fired at a very rapid rate. Energy Fist (エネルギーフィスト) - Caulifla fires a rapid barrage of ki blasts at her opponent from her fists, then, using the smokescreen for cover, charges at them to deliver a powerful punch with fist enveloped in ki. Super Saiyan 2 Caulifla's Super Attack in Dragon Ball Heroes and Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission. Crush Cannon - A move in which Caulifla launches several of her signature red energy blasts at the opponent in rapid succession. Seismic Combat - Caulifla and Kale attack the opponent together with Kale knocking them away while Caulifla charges and fires Crush Cannon at the opponent. Kale then appears behind the opponent and kicks them into the blasts. Burst of Energy - Caulifla's special move, she fires a stream of powerful red ki wave at her opponent. In the manga, this technique resembles the Kamehameha, only with her fingers pointed outwards like Xeno Gogeta's Atomic Kamehameha. Crush Stream - A variant where Caulifla launches two balls of energy before launching a red energy beam. Limit Break Blaster - Caulifla and Kale combine their energy blasts to create a large red and green energy wave. Full Power Energy Wave - To use it, the user starts by charging an Energy Sphere in their hand(s). Then, they draw their hand(s) forward and fire the energy sphere in the form of an energy wave at the opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage. The Strongest Force in the Cosmos - Caulifla clenches Kale's left hand to reassure her giving Kale the confidence that as a team they are the strongest force in the cosmos. Ray Blast - Caulifla releases her aura strongly enough that fires powerful laser-like flashes. One of her Super Skills in Xenoverse 2. Impulse Slash - A rush attack that ends in a number of ki blasts used on the opponent. One of her Ultimate Skills in Xenoverse 2'. Double Crush - A move in which Caulifla sets up eight red ki blasts into the air where they remain stationary which she can fire at her leisure or fire immediately after creating them, homing in on her opponent once fired. One of her Super Skills in Xenoverse 2 as part of the Legendary Pack 2 DLC. Super Explosive Wave - Used in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. High Power Rush - Used in Sparking! Zero. • Transformations: Super Saiyan: Caulifla attains this transformation during her lesson with Cabba. Showing an instinctual nature for it, she is able to do so without a strong emotion, unlike most initial Super Saiyan transformations. Instead, she attained it by concentrating her energy into the part of the back between the shoulder blades. Caulifla is able to maintain the form after only two attempts. Because she obtained this form without emotional build-up, it is likely that she does not suffer from any strain mentally or physical from using this form. As such, she can access this form's full power and maintain it for longer durations. Unlike most Saiyans, her hair remains unchanged in style while in this form. Super Saiyan 2: Caulifla attains this transformation shortly after achieving Super Saiyan for the first time on Sadala, during her battle against Kale in an attempt to reflect the latter's energy blast. Similar to her first form, Caulifla apparently obtained this form instinctively. In this form, her hair completely spikes up, standing above her shoulders much like Gohan's in his Super Saiyan 2 form as a child against Cell, and three bangs appear, similar to Goku's Super Saiyan 2 form. At the Tournament of Power, Caulifla tells Goku that she had unlocked the form but has been unable to transform into a Super Saiyan 2 by her own free will after doing so spontaneously, but is soon able to do so with Goku's assistance. Goku suggests that Caulifla should concentrate on mastering her Super Saiyan 2 form before going any higher. During their second fight, Goku, eager to see Caulifla's potential growth, began testing her with various stunts to sharpen her instincts and improve her battle method. Though she remains meek and subservient, she is shown to be assertive enough to take action such as either snatching a gun and crushing it without them knowing or taking back the pendant from Super Saiyan Cabba without him knowing. While her attitude towards Caulifla is also rather similar to the anime, still caring about her and her opinion of Kale, Caulifla's personal feelings towards Kale is apparently just as another member of her gang and also shows less confidence in her current abilities. While being very reliant on Caulifla in the anime, Kale in the manga shows her unquestionable loyalty as a strong devotion to helping Caulifla. Her single goal is to make sure that Caulifla is victorious in whatever she desires, while not wanting to outshine Caulifla despite knowing her power exceeds the leader, feeling indebted to her for giving her a home. In addition, her reason for becoming a Super Saiyan was to avenge Caulifla after Frieza managed to beat her, and eventually powered up as Frieza and Goku double teamed her, with it being implied by Vados that such would prove detrimental to her mental stability. She is also shown rather shy at meeting new people, even people as friendly as Goku. This lack of self-confidence, to the point that it comes off as socially awkward, has caused Kale to be constantly ridiculed by her fellow Saiyans. Caulifla, however, has always seen such potential in her, confidently believing Kale is stronger than she gives herself credit and always looked out for her best interest. Because of this, Kale has developed a very strong bond with Caulifla, her respect and adoration for Caulifla ultimately viewing the fellow Saiyan as a mentor and wanting nothing more than to prove herself worthy of Caulifla's praise. She also harbors insecurities over being a burden to Caulifla and becomes discouraged when she is unable to support her. Her greatest desire is to fight alongside Caulifla as equals. Her feelings for Caulifla's approval have also become a strong trigger for her in battle. When seeing Caulifla in trouble, feeling replaced by someone else, or praised by Caulifla, they have each unlocked more of Kale's potential. Originally when accessing her Super Saiyan powers, Kale's personality becomes a polar opposite, similar to her film counterpart Broly.[4] Shifting through emotions while in her berserker state, she would become insanely evil, excessively violent and cocky, even sadistic as shown from her smirking promise to kill her foe. As she would continue battling, her rage would only continue to grow, becoming more savage and merciless in her assaults. These are symptoms of a Legendary Super Saiyan, similar to Broly.[4] Only words from Caulifla would calm her down and revert to normal. At the same time, her devotion to Caulifla shows a certain emotional unbalance, as once it seems that Caulifla has taken more interest in someone else, Kale's rage would manifest her berserker state and attack with intent to kill the person who caused her this grief. At the same time, once angered enough, she would even completely forget her loyalty to Caulifla, willingly attacking her. This same devotion to Caulifla also gradually allowed her to master her newfound powers while retaining her true personality. Wanting so much to help her best friend, Kale overcame much of her insecurities and learned to focus her power at will, even access her berserker state without going on a rampage, and soon after focus that power into a complete state, earning such praise from Caulifla. All this made Kale begin to gain confidence in herself and soon after proudly fought alongside Caulifla, showing perfect tag-teaming tactics, which made Kale all the happier. While keeping it low-key, she is in fact the strongest Saiyan of Universe 6. Even before learning Super Saiyan, she was already well-ahead of other Universe 6 Saiyans using said power. She was fast enough to steal a Sadala soldier's blaster without him realizing it from a distance and just as easily crush it with her bare hand. Also, in her base form she is able to steal a pendant from Super Saiyan Cabba during his fight with Caulifla, with neither of the two noticing. In the Tournament of Power, Kale's abilities come into display, when she uses he true power she effortlessly overpowers and throws Dercori out of the stage. Her immense speed allowed her to catch Frieza off-guard a few times and strike him off balance without Super Saiyan Caulifla, Super Saiyan Cabba, or Golden Frieza realizing her presence. Once Frieza adjusted to Kale's tactics and caught her, he easily took her down, alongside Caulifla, albeit Frieza notes that Kale's strikes hurt him more than Super Saiyan Caulifla's did. When Kale takes on her Super Saiyan form, she catches the non-serious Frieza off-guard - as he believes he will be fighting a "mere" Super Saiyan - and effortlessly pummels the tyrant across the stage. When Goku intervenes as a Perfected Super Saiyan Blue, he initially has the upper hand against Kale, even landing a solid kick onto the female Saiyan (although he does note immediately beforehand when blocking one of her punches that he felt the punch's intensity and suspected the form she currently was using was not the ordinary Super Saiyan state). However, Kale quickly rebounds and continues her assault against Goku, growing in strength and ki at a very rapid rate, eventually managing to break Goku's guard and nearly landing a blow. At this point, Frieza notes that if he were to get serious, he could defeat Kale by himself. She proceeds to take on a Power Stressed state, shocking both Goku and Frieza. However, a concerned Vados noted that this extreme growth rate was causing Kale to lose control and could ultimately turn her into a danger for everyone in the Tournament of Power. With her newfound power, she struck the ground with such force that it demolished a large portion of the arena and launched a powerful shockwave that eliminated several fighters. She then began rampaging against everyone, swiftly eliminated all of Team Universe 4 and even smashing through Top and Perfected Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta simultaneously, which almost eliminated the two - though did no damage to either of them. She easily grabbed and dropped Ganos and Xiangca off the arena. Despite Agnilasa's massive size and increase in power, the berserker Kale eliminated the foe in a single strike. She then proceeded to quickly easily eliminated Zarbuto and Rabanra and knocked Obni off the arena with only a few blows. When her power began to take a toll on her body and she began to weaken, she then turned against her own team and still proved able to lift the massively heavy Auta Magetta of 1,000 tons, tossing him out of the arena with a single hand, blasted Saonel and Pirina off stage, and knocked Super Saiyan Cabba off the arena with one blow. However, her reckless and pure displays of raw might soon became predictable, and the stress on her body had been causing her to quickly lose power allowed the seven lesser members of Team Universe 11 to overwhelm her. After observing her in battle, Vegeta concluded that she was not worth his time as a foe. • Abilities/Powers: Flight - The user manipulates their ki energy so that they can levitate or fly. Ki Blast - The most basic form of energy wave. Ki Sense - An ability that allows the user to sense ki and power levels. Kale revealed she has this ability after sensing Jiren's power rising along with Caulifla. Seismic Power - Kale uses a slightly different variant when assuming her berserker state. Gigantic Impact - First, Kale charges a green light energy from around her body in the form of a seismic wave. Next, she gathers it into her palm to form a bright-green energy sphere. Once ready, Kale waves or shoots the blast forward, inflicting a critical amount of damage. This can also be charged on her chest as a defensive move. Resistance Blast - Kale puts her hands forward to charge an energy sphere and fires it to inflict a massive amount of damage. Gigantic Fury - The user grabs the opponent by an appendage and slams them on the ground alternating sides each time. Blaster Meteor - First, Kale forms an Energy Shield around her body. Then, she brings her hands apart to each side and releases many powerful energy blasts that home in on the target, inflicting a massive amount of damage. Gigantic Lariat - The user proceeds to rush at the enemy at high speed and then grab his opponent by the neck just as they turn around, slamming him/her into a wall with enough force to leave a massive crater upon impact. He then continues forcing the opponent through the crater and simultaneously strangling them, before eventually releasing them and letting them fall to the ground upon the enemy losing consciousness. Trap Shooter - The user draws their right hand back and charges a green or yellow energy sphere. Then, they wave their hand forward and fire several, compact, powerful energy sphere bullets that follow the opponent's movements, inflicting considerable damage. Blaster Cannon - Kale charges an energy sphere in her left hand and throws it which splits into smaller ki spheres concentrated into a single area before exploding. Blaster Bomb - Used in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Resist Blast - Kale places both her hands above her head and thrusts them forward to fire an energy wave. Blaster Stream - An enhanced green energy wave that Kale can output further energy into to increase the force. Used against Super Saiyan God Goku. Limit Break Blaster - Kale and Caulifla combine their energy blasts to create a large red and green energy wave. Seismic Combat - Caulifla and Kale attack the opponent together with Kale knocking them away while Caulifla charges and fires Crush Cannon at the opponent. Transformations: Legendary Super Saiyan: In her initial Legendary Super Saiyan state her hair spikes up, she loses her ponytail and doesn't retain visible irises, having pure white eyes instead. In the manga, Kale unleashes this form in response to Caulifla and Cabba losing in their battle against Frieza, showing a berserker-like rage. While in this form rather than instantly becoming more muscular, her musculature and power builds up gradually, slowly getting stronger until she reaches her full power state. While in this form she's strong enough to toss around Frieza in his Golden form when he isn't serious and briefly push back Goku in his Perfected Super Saiyan Blue state. Originally, this form caused Kale's meek demeanor to turn beastly and maniacal-like. This ultimately made her unable to truly control her actions in battle, which Piccolo noted is her greatest weakness. Her initial lack of control would cause her to grow angrier the longer she battled in this state and likewise quickly burn out on stamina and energy. Despite this and the massive stature of it, she does not appear to be hindered in speed or agility, contrasting to other Power Stressed forms, suggesting perhaps her speed to be "ultra first-class." Her intense power became able to instantly fire potent blasts and from places other than her hands, such as her chest or even a massive barrage in several directions at once. Her natural endurance and resilience are also greatly increased, able to brush off most attacks without defending and remain virtually unfazed. Her savage style of fighting however made her attacks more obvious and easier to dodge, letting fast foes gradually adapt to her assaults. Another weakness, mentioned only in the manga is that Kale's ever-growing power risked destroying her if she did not calm down. Supplementary material and video games refer to Kale's Legendary Super Saiyan as being her Super Saiyan 2 in comparison to her standard Super Saiyan. In the manga, Kale eventually powers up and becomes bulkier in this form while combating Goku and Frieza, her first actions after doing so being to dash past them while rearing her head in pain and exploding a burst of energy that knocks out several of the fighters.
