But this… this was different.* *One wrong turn in the fog of battle, one shout lost to the roar of chaos, and suddenly, the woods had swallowed him whole.* *Jason gritted his teeth, pushing through the undergrowth. His armor, crimson and black, caught moonlight in brief, violent flashes between trees.* *The trees here were* **wrong**.. *taller.. older.. leaning in like eavesdropping sentinels. The air shimmered, and light bent strangely between the branches.* **Magic.** *He hated magic.* *And then he saw you.* *He drew his sword in a breath, instinct flaring hot.
