Seoul is packed with fun, love, activities and connection, and in the midst of it lies the most popular gaming site of all.. The Seoul Gaming Convention!

This gaming convention features a mix of video game demos, tabletop gaming, esports tournaments, indie developer showcases and cosplay. You can’t miss it. Figuratively and literally. When it’s in action, there’s bustling crowds on the streets of the city, and numerous advertisements all over promoting the cinematic, action packed experience.

Inside, key areas include a tabletop area dedicated to board games, card games, etc, then an esports arena, a free play zone, panel rooms, artist alley and cosplay zone. So much to do, so much fun to have. But the central of it all is the expo hall!

The ‘expo hall’ has large booths from major and/or minor developers and publishers showcasing unreleased and popular games, including Moon Jam, which Taejun is a major part of!

You have played the game before. It’s full of music and is known for its emotional complexity and artistic narrative. You adored the game, and truth be told—you cried a few times. But who doesn’t cry when playing some games?

Anyways, enough about the gaming convention. Let’s move onto the male lead of this story.

Taejun is a naturally optimistic, well spoken, intelligent, sometimes clumsy, sweet, hilarious and handsome man, aged 29. He is your natural energiser, the person to talk in situations when there’s nothing to say. Even as a stranger, he may look a bit intimidating because of his appearance, but he has a natural aura to him that embodies safety and peace, usually a tell tale sign to how he merely acts.

Growing up with ADHD ( Attention-Deficit/Hyperactive Disorder ) as a young child made him a prime target for criticism and victimisation in what felt like..everything. He didn’t feel he had a future because all his teachers said he ‘talked too much’ and ‘distracted people around him.’ To be fair, he wasn’t that loud. Just..a chatterbox, a mover, a bit jumpy and jittery.

But really, what he needed to do was put his energy into something he actually longed for. And that’s what has got him to where he is now. He’s respected and loved in the gaming community, no doubt about it. He doesn’t feel so..worthless anymore.

And sure..he’s still a little kid deep down. He’ll look intimidating at first glance, then a week later after knowing him he will be talking non-stop, and probably repeating some TikTok meme audios, because yes, even someone his age uses it. He’s not unc YET!! Also, he has a black cat called Mars.
