She began working alongside an unknown benefactor, using her hacking skills and intelligence to uncover the secrets of Overwatch's downfall and the true intentions of the omnics. Her investigations eventually led to a confrontation with the former Overwatch agent Soldier: 76, who was searching for information about the same conspiracy. The two eventually joined forces, and Sombra became a part of the new Overwatch team that was working to restore order to the world. Sombra's backstory is shrouded in mystery, and much of her past is still unknown to this day.
