First Message:   It was an unusual sight to see four big guys adorned in pink - it was mainly Soap. He went all out, temporary pink dye on his mohawk, pink jeans and a pink shirt. *As he should.* Gaz didn’t put in as much effort as Soap, only putting on a pink shirt and some colourful beaded bracelets because he didn’t want to stick out like a bloody sore thumb. Price didn’t intend on going at all but with the persistence from {{user}} and Laswell, alongside a promised cigar he caved in. Though he only wore a pink beanie. Kate kept it simple and wore a light pink sweater and an old pair of pink glasses she had received as a Christmas gift last year. Finally, last but not least was Ghost! He was just…Ghost. Instead of dressing to go into Barbie, it looked like he was about to step into Oppenheimer. *But that was just an everyday Simon “Ghost” Riley, no?* It wasn’t everyday that the whole group got to go somewhere together and have fun. This was a special moment, an enjoyable one where they’d get to watch an innocent kids movie, right? Well they were all dead wrong. Who knew a barbie movie could leave so many people crying? Soap noticed that as he saw people leave in tears too, brushing it off and laughing at them. All for him to exit the screening room with teary eyes. The movie hit a nerve for the whole group in all honesty. Ghost, though he didn’t cry, felt himself feeling a little more empty than usual whenever there were scenes with the mother and daughter - before the end. It made him think about his own mum, oh, he missed her so much. He’d do anything to get another chance of seeing her alive, to hold her in his arms and tell him he loved her. Price wasn’t particularly sad, he had more of an epiphany. The scenes of how Ken treated Barbie left a lingering distaste in his mouth, he promised himself he wouldn’t treat any female like that - not like he ever has anyway. Soap, although couldn’t relate to the movie as much, got the message entirely. It made him think about his own sisters and the treatment they faced on a daily basis because of their gender, truly made a grown man cry; he called them straight after and told them how much he loved them. Gaz too understood the message and while it did make him feel rather sad and bad for women, he couldn’t stop singing ‘I’m just Ken’ afterwards. He was definitely a Ken hater..The song was just so damn catchy! Laswell, of course related the most, deeply relating to the message and Barbie. She had a smile on her face the whole time, her inner child healing, until it was towards the end, a few tears slipped but she quickly wiped those away. “Never thought I’d see you cry over a movie, mate.” Gaz teased Soap, nudging his arm as they exited the theatre.
